Very comfortable and quiet
A very comfortable room: beds, pillows. With space to move around. Kettle and complimentary coffee and tea. Good water pressure in the shower. Quiet area with buses that take you to the station - line 7 - and to the city center - line 415. There is an Aldi store across the main street.

- • Well, it's a matter of taste, that the floor was carpeted. The downside is that it didn't have a mini fridge. The days we stayed were not hot, but if it had been, a ceiling fan would have been great.

- • Did not expect to have a sink in the main room. We stayed for 3 nights but the towels were not changed every day. Overall, not too bad. Interestingly, we did not see the host during our stay, but we could contact them via email or text.

- • Just a note, having a small fridge in the room would be helpful for some light groceries.
Lovely for a short weekend getaway
Easy to find, good self check-in service, able to check in anytime from 2pm which was great due to heavy traffic. The bed was firm, which I personally liked, and having regular bedding made it feel more homely. Very comfortable pillows. The TV was a good size and visible. Power sockets available for TV devices, even with USB sockets, which is nice. The little biscuit snacks were a nice touch. The owner was really nice and helpful. Parking was available.

- • We stayed in room 5, and the only issues were the thin walls and ceilings/floors, causing noise from the room above to be heard easily. Also, the bathroom had a strong smell of urine throughout the stay, so we had to keep the bathroom door closed. Not sure why, as it seemed clean despite the smell.
Good room and location, but noise from other rooms was a problem.
Attractive room. Comfortable bed. Nice to have two comfortable chairs, a desk/dressing table, and a chair. The iron, ironing board, and hairdryer were nice additions.

- • Better soundproofing needed. The last night was disturbed by noise from the room above. It was odd to have the washbasin in the bedroom due to limited space in the shower room, but this wasn't a major issue.

Good location, but with significant areas for improvement.
The hotel's location is one of its main positive points, as it is relatively close to the center of York and has several bus stops nearby, which makes getting around much easier. The room was spacious and comfortable in terms of space, with its own bathroom and parking available. However, I consider it a negative point that there is no exclusive parking for guests.

- • Cleanliness was one of the aspects that disappointed us the most. The carpet did not seem to have been thoroughly cleaned: my friend almost stepped on a piercing we found on the floor, and I found a condom wrapper between the bed and the nightstand. These details suggest that certain areas of the room are not properly checked or cleaned between stays. In addition, the mattress was extremely uncomfortable. The springs were constantly felt and even pierced, making it very difficult to find a comfortable position and rest properly at night.
The hotel was a short walk from the town center and had good local amenities.
