The hotel presents itself as a 5-star property, with the 'Small Luxury Hotels' and 'Condé Nast Johansens' seals, but it falls far short of what these certifications promise. The materials used are industrial and synthetic, and there is an excess of decoration that resembles more of a set than comfort. It lacks soul and truly welcoming common areas.
Great hotel with exceptional service. Our stay at Wine & Books Porto was very successful. The service deserves special recognition, it was truly outstanding. From start to finish, we felt fully taken care of, and the staff was incredibly helpful, professional, and friendly. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The cleanliness was also top-notch, and the bed was very comfortable, which was crucial after a full day of sightseeing. The hotel's great advantage is its ideal location for exploring Porto. Many of the main attractions can be easily visited on foot. However, we have a few minor comments. We missed having a kettle and an iron in the room. The positioning of the shower in the central part of the room, without the possibility of covering it while in use, was not entirely to our liking. For some guests, this may be a slightly uncomfortable and less practical solution. Despite these minor comments, we definitely recommend this hotel. Its greatest asset is the fantastic service, which truly makes you feel like a guest whose needs are taken care of. We would gladly return!

We had a wonderful stay and the staff were really friendly and very professional. The rooms and hotel overall were of a high standard and very comfortable. We would definitely stay again next time we’re in Porto.
