Exceptional Graduation Trip

I am a Lifetime Diamond Team Member and this was our 6th visit to the Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal and the 2nd stay this year. We have stayed at 14 Waldorf Astoria’s and several other Hilton luxury properties across the globe but this is our favorite resort. This trip was extra special because we brought my niece for her graduation trip. June was wellness month at the resort and it worked out perfectly. My niece participated in the yoga and body sculpting classes with Luisa as well a skincare masterclass lead by Lia. She and her mom also attended a sound healing class with Alma. Karla helped us book 4 Magic Stones Massages. Our therapists Mariana, Araceli, Betty and Cecilia were all exceptional. We used the hot tub, sauna, steam and cold room. We felt completely pampered from the time we arrived at the spa until we left. The foot scrub is a great way to start your treatment. A special thanks to Vanessa for giving my niece a spa tour. My sister-in-law and niece were blown away by the level of service and hospitality by all team members at the Waldorf Astoria Pedregal. The views, food, and amenities were all perfect. They felt spoiled from the moment we were welcomed with a drink until we departed. Breakfast at Don Manuel’s is the highlight of each day and is always amazing. The daily buffet is like a Sunday Brunch. The cinnamon rolls are my favorite and they never disappoint. The team went above and beyond to recognize my niece’s graduation. Salvador is the best. The level of service and hospitality he provides is unmatched. His wit and attentiveness to details makes each breakfast a special occasion. Gabby and Karla welcomed us daily with a smile. We especially want to thank Christian for his kindness, extra care and hospitality. Juan and his team’s passion for hospitality are the benchmark in the industry for creating memorable stays and making guests feel at home. We missed seeing a few familiar faces this visit but we hope to connect with Libia, Gino, and Alberto when we return. We were welcomed back by Rey, Raymundo, JP, Daniel, Luis, and Jorge. This trip we had the pleasure of meeting Francisco, Diego, and Ismael. Samara Alvarez is truly a kind hearted and special person. She is very thoughtful and detail oriented. Samara was instrumental in creating a memorable stay for my niece and her mom. Returning to experience the magic of the Waldorf Astoria Pedregal never gets old. We have decided to invite other family members each time we return. We have a reservation in October with our daughter, granddaughter, and two more nieces during their fall break. Additionally, we plan to return next spring for another niece’s graduation trip. Libia, Salvador, and Samara are like family and have continued to make the Waldorf Astoria Pedregal our home away from home. All team members are authentic, display genuine warmth and are great ambassadors for the Hilton brand.

Amazing Stay

I am a Hilton Diamond Reserve member and when I say this property goes above and beyond to provide top-notch service would still not do them justice. Our private concierge Daniel was AMAZING! He was very proactive and made sure that whatever we wanted the hotel made happen. The property was in pristine condition, service was outstanding in all areas. This by far is one of the best Waldorf properties I have stayed at. The hotel and staff should be very proud of how they execute their ability to make every one feel welcomed.

Wonderful in every way!

Wonderful in every way! The resort is absolutely stunning! The people who work there are genuinely kind and so welcoming. They were amazing and upgraded us to the most beautiful Don Manuel suite, and then upgraded us to an Estrella suite. No need to leave either of these suites as their balconies had lounge chairs and a heated plunge pool. Wonderful breakfast at Don Manuel’s, wonderful room service, and excellent dining at Don Manuel’s for dinner…the Lobster Tail is to die for. I hope that we are fortunate to be able to return again. The resort was definitely a splurge vacation for us ❤️

Overpriced scam

The entire stay felt like a scam. It is ridiculously overpriced and the facilities aren’t that great. The food is awful and WAY overpriced. We ate at every restaurant on the property and they were all bad. The drinks were also extremely expensive. We checked out of the property early and forfeited our final night’s room rate for 2 rooms.

Accommodating from A to Z!

I have been going to this resort since it opened, through pre and post hurricane, change in ownership and it has stood the test of time. This was my first time to visit alone and the staff made me feel so comfortable and welcome. They even made me a special NY Knicks cocktail without me knowing about it. Then they arranged the game on a huge screen in the library so I didn’t have to leave the resort to find a sports bar (of course it was on the large, new renovation television in the room, but who wants to watch the Knicks finally in the NBA championship). The food is incredible as well. I will certainly be coming back for more!

The Waldorf Delivers on Every Level

My wife and I just returned from an unforgettable stay at the Waldorf in Cabo, and we couldn’t be more impressed. Our newly renovated room was stunning — with breathtaking ocean views and the soothing sound of waves from morning to night. Falling asleep to that backdrop felt like a luxury in itself. But what truly set this stay apart was the service. The staff were exceptional across the board, but Rodolfo and Angel deserve special recognition. Somehow they knew my favorite soccer team had just suffered a heartbreaking Champions League final loss — and the next day they surprised us with custom cocktails bearing the team’s logo. That kind of thoughtfulness is rare and speaks volumes about the culture this property has built. We would return without hesitation. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a world-class experience in Cabo.

Stunning property but inconsistent service for the price point

I stayed at the Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal for a special occasion and had a mixed experience. Positives: The property itself is absolutely stunning. The setting is peaceful, the beach is quiet and beautiful (though not swimmable), and the rooms are spacious and well designed. It’s a great place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The in-room food was also excellent. Where it fell short: Service consistency—especially given the price point. At the pool, I waited a significant amount of time without being acknowledged, despite staff being present and actively serving other guests. I asked for towels and a menu, and 90 minutes later still had not received a menu or any service. This was around 3:30 p.m. on a Friday with roughly 30 guests at the pool and ample staff. I’m not sure why the service felt so dismissive and absent for a 5-star property. As a solo traveler, this stood out more than it might have otherwise. I eventually had to go to the bar myself to order a drink, which is not what I would expect at this level. Pre-arrival experience: Communication was also lackluster. I needed to shift my reservation by one day due to a flight delay—not cancel—and initially was met with the possibility of a $1,500 fee despite availability. I ultimately had to involve the Diamond service desk and advocate assertively to resolve it. Recognition / occasion: This was a birthday trip as a Platinum member. I’ve received more thoughtful acknowledgment at lower-tier Hilton properties. There was no real recognition beyond the standard tequila welcome. Additional details that added up: * Food delivery was left by the door rather than placed in the room or clearly communicated * Concierge responses were polite but minimal and not proactive * Activity information required multiple follow-ups and lacked detail (e.g., “hiking” with no description of distance, location, or difficulty) None of these are major issues individually, but together they created a sense of inconsistency. At this price point, I would expect more attentiveness and follow-through without having to ask repeatedly. I would not feel good paying cash for this level of service. To be fair: Staff were friendly when engaged, and management did respond when I raised concerns. I didn’t feel unwelcome—just not consistently taken care of in the way I’ve experienced at other top-tier properties. The Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi remains top tier for service in my experience. Bottom line: This is a beautiful resort in an incredible location, but for the cost, I expected a more polished and seamless service experience. It felt like miss after miss, both pre-arrival and on property. * 5-star hardware (location, rooms, views) * 3–4 star service consistency * 3-star communication Overall, it feels like a high-end product in terms of the physical property, but not an elite experience. I would consider returning for the setting, but would weigh other options depending on the level of service I’m looking for. Additional notes: Room 321 (two queen corner ocean view) was lovely, though the view was slightly impeded.

Best hotel in Cabo

This resort is an absolute dream, no better way to describe it. From the second you arrive from the moment you leave, you feel taken care of. There wasn't one single negative in our 7 day stay. The grounds are impeccable, the rooms are gorgeous, clean and comfortable. We were worried to take our kids to such a fancy hotel but I can tell you, I will never stay anywhere else but here. My girls had an amazing time. I even took my youngest to a walk around town which is only a few minutes away. Super thanks to Miguel, he really made the whole trip over the top special for our little bday girl who turned 7 in Cabo. Eneyda was extremely pleasant as well. I wish I knew everyone's names because they were all exceptional. Yes it is pricey, but for a reason. Book it!

Luxury at a Disproportionate Cost

The entrance through the private tunnel is undeniably cinematic, and the "hard product"—the rooms and private plunge pools—are the highlight of this property. However, for a five-star property at this price point, the value proposition vs the inflated rate they charge misses the mark. The property’s location is subject to intense winds, which made the pool area quite unpleasant and the plunge pool too cold to use as it can only heat up to 88 degrees. On one of our days, all umbrellas had to be lowered for “safety,” leaving us exposed to intense sun and severely diminishing the value of a resort stay focused on outdoor relaxation. Additionally, there is only one hot tub on the entire property and it’s luke warm. Be warned that private events can reserve the pool - during our stay half the pool areas were reserved for a private function. The pool area itself lacks any real ambiance or "soul” and feels uninspiring. While the service is professional, the food and beverage are overpriced, even by luxury hotel standards. You are paying a massive premium that the overall experience doesn't quite justify. It’s a beautiful hotel, but between the lifeless pool, the high winds and the inflated costs, there are better properties to stay at for this budget in Cabo. What made this review a 4 vs a 3 star was the concierge staff who made an effort to address some of our concerns while on property.
