The Treuer River Lodge is located in the middle of nature, by a river, about 30 minutes north of Graskop, on the Panorama Route. The accommodations are rustic but clean. There is only hot water from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and from 6:00 am to 8:00 am. The Chubby restaurant is open until 4:30 pm. Each accommodation has a barbecue and the basic tableware. The staff is very kind and helpful. We highly recommend it to people who love nature.

- • It said equipped kitchen and there is a small stove and some kitchen utensils, but no refrigerator. For one night it's okay but we think for more it's not enough...
Beautiful, but only for one night
The idea is to have prefabricated cottages in the middle of nowhere on the riverbank with a small restaurant nearby and hot water available at well-communicated times. In general, we liked this. There is also a gas heater. A positive note, the owner puts a lot of effort with the means he has.

- • The implementation in some aspects leaves something to be desired because it's okay spartan but the sheets were very dusty. Our daughter's bed was a mattress on the floor which, given the hygiene conditions (still standard for South Africa), was not ideal. Patchy Wi-Fi

Great stay
An excellent value for money solution for those like us who wanted to break a long drive. The complex of cottages met our expectations, indeed it's even more beautiful in person, unfortunately we traveled in August (southern winter) so we couldn't take advantage of the river and the common green spaces for grilling. I would definitely go back and stay longer

- • In one of the lodges, the auxiliary heating was not working properly and in July, it gets very cold at night!
