The location by the sea and as surfers was excellent for us. Excellent service, there were guests above us who made a lot of noise because the kids played late, and the hotel took care of them and asked for quiet and also offered to move us to another room. There were always clean towels and everything we needed, we received

The staff was genuinely friendly, welcoming, and helpful from check-in through checkout. Customer service like that really stands out. The location is hard to beat—just steps from Pacific Beach, with plenty of great restaurants, coffee shops, and places to walk nearby. We hardly needed to use the car. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and made a great home base for exploring San Diego. We’d definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a fun beach getaway

- • $45 per night to park and the parking spaces are smaller than usual lots. Combine that with people that can't park and it's a mess.
Would be great if it were cheaper
The location of the facility was good. I loved all the employees, they were solution-oriented. The rooms were very clean

- • There are no free amenities. There is a coffee machine in the room, there is coffee, but no water.
The view from the hotel room was amazing, and so was the close proximity to the beach. The hotel and seating area were also well-kept with a beautiful view of the ocean

- • Staff was not pleasant or helpful in any way. The only one that was nice to us was the gentleman that helped with our bags. The lobby is across the parking lot, which we did not see signs informing us of that. $45 for parking a night, which we did not know about. The doors slam shut even when you try to be gentle, I heard every movement from the person above us, the toilet did not work right, one plug that we could use. Asked for extra towels since with the humidity nothing was drying, and they were never sent up. We eventually asked the lady with the cart and she gave us some. I could go on, but definitely not worth the cost. Could've spent that money and still be on the beach with better staff.
Great staff, rooms, and location!
Location to the beach. $10 rental bikes were awesome! Pool and spa on the ocean side. Lots of pretty new pool deck furniture. Very, very nice staff!! Pretty rooms and lobby!!! Board games in the lobby.

- • Couldn’t sit on my “porch” past 10 pm because it was near the pool. Elevator wasn’t working, so had to drag bags up the stairs. Cafe closed at a random time, and lots of food items were out or not being served that day.
An unexpected stay turned this into our new favorite place to stay when visiting San Diego
Location was amazing, beds were comfortable, and pillows and sheets soft. We had a partial view of the ocean on the 2nd floor facing the pool, and it was exactly what I hoped for with the ocean sound with the sliding door open. Short walk to just about any food, and the beach is right there! Rentals of boogie boards and chairs were so appreciated.

- • The pool closes at 10 pm, but we didn’t want to be woken up from talking or partying below, so we closed the door and turned on a sound machine. It is more active than La Jolla Shores, but the hotel is so much nicer.
