comfortable and stylish hotel in a great location
We enjoyed our stay at The Sukhothai Shanghai. The hotel is stylish, modern and very comfortable, with beautifully designed rooms and a high standard of cleanliness. The pool was spacious enough to actually swim proper laps, which was great. The location is also very convenient, right next to a large shopping mall and the impressive Starbucks Reserve Roastery. Overall, a very comfortable and stylish hotel in a great location. We would happily stay here again.

- • Services were very poor: no basic amenities like a sewing kit to hem trousers or a nail file. Laundry was proposed every day but the quality was poor; they returned my shirt back unmaintained. Room maintained poorly: the floor is dirty, lots of dust everywhere. Reception was unhelpful: I faced an issue with my flight and they sent me to solve it on my own knowing that the airline was Chinese and not providing any assistance in English. I asked to extend my stay because of the weather and they did, but they forgot to extend my keys. But they charged me for two black and white printed pages for 7 rmd, I never faced it before. All those small details spoiled all impressions of our stay.

- • This time, there were issues with the shower rack coming loose and water spitting out from the drain next to the bathtub. Personnel were sent to handle it upon reporting, but the problems still exist. The water spitting from the drain has slightly decreased, and the issue with the loose shower rack has not been resolved. It is recommended to arrange for a repairman to inspect.
Fabulous stay
Fantastic place to stay, superb location connected to HKRI Taikoo Hui shopping mall, lots of restaurants and cafes close by, Changle Road is nearby, superb service, and ask for JOY HE if you need assistance with reservations/shopping/information, she was brilliant.
