A nice stay in old English style atmosphere
We liked very much the old English style atmosphere and in particular, that the hotel was small. The staff was very accommodating and service minded. A nice terrace and garden. The hotel even arranged our transport to and from our stay and arranged also a sightseeing tour around the area.

A beautiful hotel but read the review.
An employee named Suresh at the hotel is polite and helpful. The hotel has beautiful old artifacts for photography and also a beautiful fireplace lounge. The beauty of the hotel lies in the surrounding trees, flowers, and simple areas close to the accommodation. Also, the hotel manager is a very lovely person.

- • Some reception staff are irresponsible and need more professionalism and training. There is a large quantity of ants in the rooms and insects, which can be bothersome especially when opening the room windows. The breakfast is very poor. You must arrange for suitable transportation. The Grab application takes a long time, and perhaps no one booked, so you have to rely on the drivers through the reception, who undoubtedly take advantage of the situation.

- • The slope to Cameron suites. Some people sitting at the garden chair to smoke. No welcome fruit baskets instead of cookies.

A great experience overall
The staff were the high point of the stay. All the way from the front desk through the restaurant to housekeeping, everyone was very accommodating and welcoming. The Lakehouse is not the sort of hotel you pick if you're going to be out and about all day and just returning to sleep. It's a beautiful place to spend some time soaking in the ambience and being pampered by the staff. The grounds are landscaped to perfection, with lush lawns and a riot of flowers. Artfully placed armchairs and sofas in 4 connected reading rooms meant we were spoiled for choice when we wanted to settle in with a book and enjoy some high tea. The rooms were very clean, and the cleanliness was maintained to a high standard on a daily basis. The front desk was super helpful with booking tours and cars for us when we needed them. We particularly loved how genuine they were with their smiles and suggestions. Special shout-out to Thilaga, Dev, Param, Kenny, Suresh, and Parameswari, as well as those whose names we didn't manage to get for the high standard of service rendered. This is a place to which we will definitely be returning.

- • There was nothing very objectionable. One thing we did notice was that the food options were rather limited. Considering there are no restaurants within walking distance, it would have been nice to have access to a more varied menu.

Service is good. The warm welcome from Balqis and the manager Miss Samantha made us feel at home. The scenery and overall ambience in the interior and exterior are nice and relaxing.
