Best hotel I've ever stayed in. Perfect blend of luxury and history.
Loved everything about this hotel. Staff were amazing, room was amazing and clean. Hotel atmosphere and decor was amazing as well.

I liked the old world vibe as well as the artwork on almost every wall. Every staff member we came across was friendly and helpful. This started from the gentleman who opened the hotel door to the check-in desk to the spa personnel. The room was beautifully appointed and the balcony was great. The cafe and the bar for also very nice.

- • Not anything that I didn't like, although I do wish the prices were a little lower. However, with a higher price comes excellent accommodations and excellent service.

Treat Yourself to a Great Hotel
This hotel is perfectly located in the center of all things Manhattan. If you like to walk, you can go anywhere on foot, but there is a convenient subway station on the same block. The hotel is historic and very well maintained. Our suite was spacious and quiet. The Café, Lobby Bar, and Teruko are all excellent food and/or beverage choices. The rooftop fitness center is adorable and well-stocked. The staff are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable.

lives up to the hype
Best hotel I've ever been to. Perfect blend of history and luxury. This place made me feel special. Loved the atmosphere from the time we initially set foot in the building. 100% recommended and we'll be back!

Great hotel, fantastic beds and area
Historic hotel that manages to keep the history, yet update the feel to modern expectations. Lots of details that you only get at a hotel from the 1880's without it feeling outdated, old or that at one point it was a beautiful place. Its clean, well kept and everything looks new... even though nobody has craftsmanship like this everywhere you look anymore.

- • Little pricy... really that is the only downside, however its on line with or less than many surrounding areas. And you are right in the middle of Manhattan, so nothing is a bargain That said, I'd pay a little more again to stay there because it was so nice and comfortable
Fabulous stay! Beautiful boutique hotel
This is a beautiful boutique hotel, the room was spacious and it felt very old world bohemian. The service was excellent, and we thought the location was good too, central for transport.
