I think the price for this hotel is probably double what it should be, very disappointed!

Not much, the hotel was nowhere near the standard expected for the price paid. The rooms were dated and not particularly clean. The first room we were given smelled so badly we had to move rooms

Not the place to stay!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was one of the worst Marriott stays and one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had in years. The problems started immediately. The hallways had an unpleasant odor as soon as you stepped off the elevator. Our first room had a significant leak under the bathroom sink, leaving all of the towels, tissues, and other amenities stored underneath completely soaked. We discovered this when we went to shower and had to call housekeeping just to get dry towels. The air conditioning in our room also didn't work. The hotel insisted it was only struggling because of the unusually hot weather, but our kids' room cooled perfectly fine. In our room, the AC was simply blowing room-temperature air. Rather than fixing the issue, they brought us a fan while continuing to insist the AC was functioning properly. Housekeeping was another disappointment. After our first night, our room still hadn't been cleaned by 4:00 p.m., and we had to call to request service. They couldn't change our room on the first night but on the second day, the hotel finally moved us because of the water leak. However, the "upgraded" room was actually smaller than the room category we had originally booked. At that point, I accepted it because at least the air conditioning worked. What was most disappointing was the lack of any meaningful effort to make things right. Despite the leaking room, broken AC, delayed housekeeping, and being moved to a smaller room, the hotel offered no discount, no Marriott Bonvoy points, and no other compensation, just a complimentary drink at the bar. Unfortunately, this stay fell far short of the standards I expect from Marriott. I would not recommend this hotel.

Family Trip

Stayed in the College Green on a family trip and couldn't recommend it more. The concierge and reception made check-in so easy. The room was clean and the accommodation team on the floor so helpful. I will be back soon thank you!!

Another exceptional experience at the College Green Hotel

This was our second time staying at The College Green Hotel, and it somehow managed to exceed our first visit. The hotel remains our absolute favorite place to stay in Dublin. The location is perfect, the property is stunning, and the overall experience is truly five-star. The service across the entire hotel is top-class. Every single staff member makes you feel genuinely welcome. A special mention must go to the manager, Alan Brophy. He went completely above and beyond to look after us during our stay. His incredible attention to detail, professionalism, and warm hospitality made our return visit unforgettable. It is rare to see leadership that dedicated, and it clearly reflects in the high standards of the entire hotel.

Excellent Stay at The College Green Hotel

I recently stayed at The College Green Hotel with a group of friends while celebrating my birthday, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. This was our second time staying at the hotel, and once again it exceeded our expectations. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Special thanks to the concierge team, the check-in staff, Manager Alan Brophy, and the housekeeping team, all of whom provided outstanding service and made us feel genuinely valued as guests. The rooms were immaculate, comfortable, and very well maintained. The attention to detail from housekeeping was exceptional. Service across the hotel was consistently professional, efficient, and friendly. Breakfast was another highlight, with a great selection and excellent quality. The Guinness brown bread is a must-try. Overall, The College Green Hotel delivered a first-class experience in every aspect. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Dublin City and would definitely stay again. A true must-stay hotel.

Great service

College Green is a fantastic choice for a girls' getaway. High class, excellent standards, and attention to detail. The front of house staff is very impressive and a huge thanks to Alan Brophy who went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. We ate lunch and breakfast there and were hugely impressed. This and its great central location will definitely bring us back.

Incredible central location, but you pay a premium for the name

If your main priority in Dublin is location, this place is gold. It sits right in the dead center of the city, directly opposite Trinity College and a stone's throw from Temple Bar and Grafton Street. You can walk pretty much everywhere, and the Luas (tram) stops essentially right outside. The building itself is a beautiful historic bank conversion, and the design inside leans heavily into that upscale, old-school luxury vibe. For food and drink, you have three distinct spots: Morelands (which handles a high-quality but pricey breakfast buffet), The Atrium Lounge (a stunning, 5-story glass courtyard famous for its "Literary Afternoon Tea"), and The Mint Bar. The Mint Bar is the standout here—it’s tucked away in the building's original underground vaults and serves great cocktails with live music on weekends. The rooms are exceptionally quiet considering how busy the streets outside are, and they feature incredibly comfortable pillowtop beds. However, standard rooms can feel on the smaller side for a five-star hotel unless you shell out for an upgrade to a junior or deluxe suite. The downside? The price tag matches the prestige, and the extra costs pile up fast. Valet parking is expensive, breakfast is rarely included in the base rate, and navigating a car to the front of the hotel through Dublin's chaotic city-center traffic can be a logistical headache. An elegant, peaceful oasis right in the middle of Dublin's loudest nightlife districts. It's an excellent luxury base if you plan to explore the city entirely on foot, but check your booking details carefully to see what food or perks are actually included before you arrive.
