Check-in details are received the day before arrival. Self check-in at the screens in the lobby. Easy. No staff in sight, but they’re reachable by WhatsApp, email, Chat or phone, and information is available with a QR code. Checkout is simply by dropping your key card into the lobby mailbox; your invoice is emailed to you. A cute Smeg fridge was in my ‘Double Room With Fridge,’ containing two cartons (not plastic bottles) of water. Two brew-in-cup coffee portions, two good-quality teas. Clean room. Lighting appreciated over the table, the reading chair and the bed. Air-conditioning appreciated on a 28-degree day. Comfortable bed. Quiet nights. Be careful if you’ve got a room with a microwave oven: there was a fire alarm at 7:15 a.m. on my first morning, due to someone doing something unwise. The loft area, up a few steps from the lobby, holds snacks and chilled beverages, which you self-serve and pay for at the screen. I enjoyed this hotel experience and would happily stay at Stayery hotels again.
