Ultimate comfort; our home away from home
They have an amazing, attentive team. From the moment we walked through the door, we immediately felt right at home. We bumped into their impressive Golden Key Concierge too. Make sure to ask for their Legend Hotel Tour—we appreciated Frank, who took us around and explained the hotel's history and fun facts! The team was also very kind to guide us on how to book the right Didi rides to our attractions, and gave us tips and tricks for optimum travel comfort. They brought our parcels and food deliveries up to our room when we were too tired to go out for food. Their turn down service team noticed we drank a beverage and brought in more for us, placing them on our bedside table for when we returned from a long and exhausting day. They also brought out their tea set, laid with a teabag so we could have it before bedtime. It was extremely lovely to be considered to this extent. The bed was really comfortable, and we had one of the deepest sleeps we've had in any hotel before. They had blackout curtains, and our room was extremely peaceful and quiet. Their hotel slippers were also some of the most comfortable—we kindly asked for extra pairs to bring home with us. We look forward to coming back.

- • While the front office and rooms teams were exemplary, the dining team struggled with coordinating the breakfast buffet on both days of our stay. There were missing serving bowls and serving spoons, as well as food signages that didn't match up with the actual food.
You can never go wrong with Sofitel
Everything perfect as expected from a Sofitel. The intercontinental breakfast was highly appreciated after many days of dumplings and ravioli at 8 in the morning!

- • A small incident with a maid who, despite 2 signs, one virtual and one physical on the door, saying DO NOT DISTURB. She almost entered the room while we were getting dressed at 9 am. Fortunately, I managed to push the door and prevent her from entering the room

Excellent stay in every aspect. The Sofitel Legend People’s Grand Hotel Xi’an is a charming hotel, housed in an extremely elegant historic building perfectly consistent with the city's atmosphere. The common areas are refined, well-kept, never anonymous, and immediately convey the feeling of being in a structure with character, history, and personality. The room was also very beautiful: spacious, comfortable, tastefully furnished with a classic touch and a level of care that makes the stay extremely pleasant. The aperitif offered every evening was also particularly pleasant, served in the elegant and prestigious surroundings of the hotel. It is a very enjoyable moment of the day, perfect to return after visits and calmly enjoy the atmosphere of the structure. However, the real strength lies in the staff: absolutely professional, exquisite, and attentive. The service was impeccable, always courteous but never intrusive, with a rare and sincere guest care. Every request was handled with efficiency, availability, and great courtesy. In summary, a top-level hotel, elegant, welcoming, and managed with exemplary professionalism. A perfect choice, the best, for a stay in Xi’an and undoubtedly one of the hotels we remember most fondly from our trip to China.
