Overdue for full refurbishment
This resort is simply not a five-star experience, despite how the property is marketed. It’s way too big and impersonal. It’s in desperate need of a good clean onto the forgotten areas around the grounds. The pools are also in desperate need of TLC, a good clean and some barriers across areas where one could take a wrong turn thinking it’s a path when it’s a pool. The property feels dated and overdue for a refresh. The grounds, while expansive, are very confusing if you come off the beach via wrong entrance. The total lack of signage to reception from beach entrances is frustrating and needs to get remedied. guest rooms are dated and in need of significant renovation. Breakfast selection was in abundance but getting service isn’t easy. Staff hit and miss. Overall, the resort feels well past its prime. No we won’t return. Would look elsewhere in Port Douglas that’s more exclusive.
