Very beautiful property and staff very helpful. Very easy to upgrade my rooms and it was a very nice place to stay with my mom and 2 teens and husband. Very relaxing and breakfast buffet is beyond amazing.

- • Dinner buffet was not as good as the breakfast buffet. Not as many choices as the breakfast buffet and included drink choices were also less.

It's the worst. My child got injured by a protrusion in the pool, but the hotel did not acknowledge responsibility, and we could not get a satisfactory response. The most important safety was overlooked. It's disappointing.

- • At check-in, I was told I could upgrade to a large and beautiful room for 10,000 pesos, but it was quite disappointing as I could hardly see the sea. Also, I stayed for two nights, but the room was not cleaned.
Shangri La - still the top choice.
The beach, service, and rooms are outstanding. Not the most modern Shangri La I visited. The Shangri La in Colombo, Sri Lanka is also one of my favorites, but the beach area in Shangri La Mactan is just outstanding and worth a stay.
