Wow! Just wow!

Phenomenal time here at Shangri-La Borocay! Would 100% come back again.. the people were so accommodating, welcoming and kind. Erwin overlooked our stay and went the extra mile to make it special for us. If you have a special occasion I highly reccomend setting up a private dining experience on the beach! Just amazing honestly!

We loved our stay here. It was the perfect balance of upscale luxury and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Our room was beautiful, spacious, and comfortable, although we did find the bed a bit firmer than our preference. Beyond that, the accommodations were excellent. One of the standout features of this hotel is the service. Everyone was incredibly friendly, attentive, and eager to help. The property is exceptionally clean and well maintained, and the shuttle services to and from town made exploring the area easy and convenient. The dining options were fantastic. There was truly something for everyone, and as someone who is gluten-free, I greatly appreciated how accommodating the staff were with my dietary needs. The food was consistently excellent throughout our stay. The pool area is beautiful, with multiple sections that provide plenty of space for guests, and the beach is large enough to feel spacious without being overwhelming. We also appreciated the presence of lifeguards at both the pool and beach, which added an extra level of comfort and safety. The drinks were excellent as well—well-made and generously poured! While the hotel itself is positioned as a premium property, we found the food and beverage pricing to be quite reasonable, especially compared to other resort destinations. One thing that stood out to us was the cleanliness. We arrived from another country after I had experienced some digestive issues during our travels, and I felt noticeably better almost immediately after arriving. The attention to cleanliness and food quality gave us a great deal of confidence throughout our stay.

Exceeding all expectations

We had an incredible stay from start to finish. As soon as we landed, our shuttle was waiting for us, followed by a seamless speedboat transfer straight to the island. One of the most memorable touches was checking in directly from our treehouse rather than at a lobby… it made the experience feel special and personalised from the moment we arrived. Our host, Vicente, was fantastic. He provided excellent recommendations for both the resort’s restaurants and places to visit in town, helping us make the most of our stay. We also enjoyed the private beach dining experience, which was a real highlight. Chef Roger and our waiter, King, were exceptional, and the food was absolutely delicious. It was a truly memorable evening. The resort facilities were outstanding, including a well-equipped gym, sauna, and an excellent buffet breakfast. Our treehouse accommodation was spectacular, offering a unique and luxurious experience. We experienced a mix of weather during our stay, with two overcast days and two beautiful sunny days. Even on the cloudier days, there was still so much to do around the resort, and the nearby town was just a quick e-trike ride away, making it easy to explore regardless of the weather. Getting around the property was effortless, with buggies readily available to transport guests between the rooms, pool, and beach. Overall, an exceptional stay that exceeded our expectations. The combination of stunning accommodation, outstanding service, excellent dining, and plenty to do in any weather made for an unforgettable experience. We would highly recommend it.
