The hotel is very beautiful, with several inner courtyards, all in Chinese style. Located right in the center of Beijing on Wangfujing pedestrian street. However, the rooms are a bit 'tired', either needing minor repairs or a good cleaning.

- • The door of the room was difficult to close. You only get 1 key even if there are multiple people in one room, but you can leave it at the reception.

I highly recommend it if you are okay with a simple and authentic hotel.
Very interesting geographical location. The rooms are very simple, not necessarily in very good condition. The hotel is typical and has a lot of charm. No city noise can be heard.

- • There is a lack of furniture to store clothes. It is poorly soundproofed. You can't hear the noises of the city, but you can hear those of the hotel guests. The wifi works poorly, but this is due to China and not to this hotel.

Part owner, Bruce, not only speaks fluent English but is extremely helpful in assisting us to pre-book attractions via WeChat. For the price we are paying and the proximity to Tiananmen Square, we really have no complaints other than the tap water was freezing cold due to the blizzard.

- • Facilities could be better ... no coffee but Bruce was great to give us some coffee powder

- • There is no wardrobe for clothes. The bathroom is not very convenient. All clothes and towels have to be left outside, otherwise everything will get wet.
