- • Booked a triple family room only to arrive and be told none was available. Receptionist blamed booking.com for error and booking.com blamed hotel. Had to make do with a double room and a camp bed as we had no option but stay there. Unhappy with service from both and demanded a refund, no one accepted the blame and got a poor offer from booking.com as a gesture of goodwill.

- • The hotel canceled my reservation only 2 hours before my arrival while I was still on the plane. What a surprise to discover this at 11 p.m. when I landed. Fortunately, I checked my emails, otherwise, I would have found out on the spot. Obviously, no solution offered and all the hotels around the airport were fully booked. The man I spoke to at 11:05 p.m. had just started his shift, knew nothing, and had no information/solution to give us. Reason for cancellation: overbooking even though I had booked 2 days earlier.
