- • Upon arrival, it turned out that we did not get the room we had reserved. We had booked three rooms, one of which with a terrace and seating area. Although this room category was available, it was not assigned to us. In addition, one of our rooms was not ready upon arrival. Upon entering the room, it smelled strongly of sewage. The room was not cleaned properly, the trash cans were not emptied, and various hairs were visible in the bathroom. Dirty toilet. As there was no cleaning staff present at that time, the reception could only remake the bed. The other shortcomings were not addressed during our stay. The persistent sewer smell was only temporarily masked with an air freshener, without addressing the cause. Following our complaints, the hotel manager, Isis, promised us that the breakfast costs (€240) would be compensated. Despite several emails and phone calls over several weeks, this promise has not been fulfilled to date. Furthermore, it was not possible to speak to the manager personally. Through the reception staff, we were repeatedly told that she was in a meeting or not available, after which there was no follow-up. We find it disappointing that agreements are not being honored and that the communication regarding this has been insufficient. A hotel should handle complaints carefully and fulfill promises made. Based on our experience, we unfortunately cannot recommend this hotel.
