Exceeded my expectations
Excellent service at reception and events for guests with Host Matheus was a very pleasant experience. The cleaning ladies had everything impeccable. The kindness at reception made it very easy to feel comfortable at the hostel.

- • That they don't have utensils for cooking or eating !! Not even a fork...or knife or spoons or plates...let alone for cooking. The excuse...that they take them away !! And what's my fault if others take them?

- • Bad experience. They took a deposit (not sure for what since I did not rent a towel or anything like that). Then refused to refund me saying I had already been refunded. Then they insisted on checking the video and found out they had indeed not refunded (said that the video was the only way to prove - really? What does it say about how you treat guests - we're liars but they can do no wrong). And they took a full day to refund by which time I had no time to use the local currency (I was headed back). Then they tried to justify it and minimize saying it is such a small amount why I'm making a big deal. I see a pattern here in their responses ("beg to disagree"). Yeah right. Keep disagreeing and not accepting fault or improve. The place overall was terrible. The room was small and dirty. I lost 20000 Argentine pesos - probably got stolen. The fridge was filthy with plates of half-eaten open food. There were no forks or spoons in the kitchen. Not telling me various options to go to the airport but trying to sell me their own overpriced taxi service. They are in the travel-related business but don't know any other way to get to the airport except taxi? Seriously? Sent me to Newbery to catch a bus when there was another stop nearby. I nearly missed my flight. I know their response is going to be more justification/minimize or trivialize the complaint and how the problem is the person making the complaint. I would definitely not go there again. I posted this review on Google. They responded that I shouted and was disrespectful. This is something made up. Not only are they sloppy and unprofessional, but they're also lying.
