This historic building is in a perfect location to visit Coimbra. The amenities are sparse so if location is more important than luxury then this is the place for you.

We really liked the ease of check-in. It's interesting to sleep in an old pharmacy. The room was still quite spacious. Which is quite rare in Europe!

Very pretty hotel, on the liveliest street in Coimbra. Our room didn't face the street and so it was still very quiet, except maybe when people walked up the stairs. The common terrace on the roof was charming and allowed to have coffee in the morning with a beautiful view of the city. Everything was very walkable from the hotel. We really enjoyed our stay!

Very uncomfortable
Music was blasted until 1:00 a.m. The rooms don't have AC which would be okay but the fans provided in the room were all broken and the only way to stay cool was to keep the window open. The music they were blasting outside was so loud it made it impossible to sleep. We informed the front desk and they said they were unable to help us and that the room is non-refundable. These conditions were unacceptable and we ended up checking out early and losing out on two nights and finding a different hotel to sleep in. I highly recommend saving your money and going somewhere else.

What an amazing place! If you want a true experience of Sintra, this is the place. The balcony was a huge plus. 100% recommended
