Amazing
Where do I begin…. This resort blew our minds. It was luxury, modern, huge, and absolutely breathtaking. The room was very clean and the view was beautiful. There are buggies that take you around the resort that you call reception to arrange for you. To breakfast, the beach, and reception. There are 2 beaches in the resort. One is private and no public access is permitted but doesn’t have any seating and is slightly smaller with fewer steps. The second (our favorite) was romantic beach which has beanbags and parasols for Marriott guests only. Presumably at least. Some people do come and visit the beach during boat trips and via water taxi and do use the bean bags etc. The workers do try and stop this but it’s hard at times. They also have snorkeling equipment and kayaks for Marriott guests. They also sell water and drinks on the beach which honestly were super pricey at 20RM (downside) especially for guests 20RM for water that’s usually 2RM is crazy. But we found ourselves buying a couple of times because it’s been super hot and our own water was no longer cold. The beach is so beautifully clear and so many fish around. There are sea urchins in Perhentians waters so sea shoes are a must. There are over 200 steps to romantic beach but definitely worth it. Wasn’t an issue for us as we wanted to burn off the amazing food we ate, but if steps are a bit difficult or you’re older then it might be hard so stick to the other beach. You can get water taxis only from romantic beach though not the other one. The workers were lovely, they were all lovely. Everyone. The dinner buffet was also amazing. So so so nice. You do have to go a bit early as it does sometimes get a bit cold and not as nice but it was yummy. The selection is amazing and the desserts fantastic. Again a bit pricey for guests but it’s a luxury resort so expect high prices. Breakfast was the same. We went to the great room for dinner one night and got the smash burger which was SOOO YUMM.

- • The walk to Long Beach is fine but scary at night. We did it a couple of times but saw a snake one night so didn’t do it again. But during daylight, it’s okay. Just bear in mind all food restaurants are on Long Beach and most seafood BBQs start at 7. There is an option to get a water taxi for 25RM per person each way but bear in mind this is double after 7 pm. Cheeky 🤣 it would be nice for Marriott to invest a bit in a trail for their guests but I guess this isn’t a priority. Also, the room was tidied every day but not cleaned. Stayed for 7 nights and our sheets weren’t changed but only the bed was made. Also, the bathroom wasn’t cleaned but it wasn’t a major deal.

- • The beaches have waves, they are not like Besar's, although you can still snorkel and they are beautiful.
Everything, the friendliness and smiles of all the staff. Extremely clean and refined environment. Excellent gluten-free cuisine. It's truly a spectacular resort, excellent cuisine. I really appreciated the security, vigilant everywhere.
