Lovely Boutique hotel with excellent restaurant (but wish we’d known about maintenance work!)
Room and bathroom were spacious comfortable and well equipped. Peaceful spot (should have been see below) by the river and easy to get into old city of Chiang Mai. All the food we had from the hotel’s restaurant was excellent - some of the best we had in Thailand. We ate out a couple of nights at recommended restaurants but they were nowhere near as good as the hotel food! This is a lovely boutique hotel in Chiang Mai and the staff were all wonderful.

- • As we arrived in the evening we were told the hotel would be undergoing some maintenance but the noise would end at 5pm each day. We were surprised to wake the following morning to find the main pool drained and drilling started. Given that this work continued for the whole of our 4 night stay (and beyond) I think we should have been told about this before we arrived or at booking. There was a smaller pool we were allowed to use but at the same time a large tree next to the river and the smaller pool was undergoing major tree surgery for 2 days and the chainsaw noise continued until nearly 6pm which wasn’t very relaxing. I would have scored this hotel 10 otherwise and was clearly a temporary problem while they did necessary maintenance - I just wish we’d known about it beforehand. It would t stop me staying there again but I would ask them if they had any planned maintenance outside as it’s a smallish place and difficult to escapee the noise!

The most accommodating staff at a beautiful resort
Stayed here during our honeymoon in the lanna grand deluxe room and this resort is one of the reasons that we fell in love with Chiang Mai. I don't think I've ever felt so welcomed and cared for at a hotel as we were with the staff at Na Nirand. The staff were consistently checking in on us and providing recommendations, and it was truly one of the most accommodating experiences we've had. As a lovely bonus, they came by each evening to provide a very neat, small handmade gift. A special shoutout to Bean, our guest relations manager, who brought incredible energy to every interaction we had with her and was constantly looking out for us. We stayed in the lanna grand deluxe room and it had plenty of space for me and my wife. The room and bathroom were both very clean and housekeeping makes 2 trips each day to restock anything as needed. The location is walking distance from the night bazaar and Chiang Mai in general is very safe to walk around in, and everything in the city is within a 15 minute Grab ride. The pool is a saltwater pool and it's quite large relative to the size of the resort. The bar by the pool is also good. My wife ordered a pina colada and it was surprisingly one of the best ones either of us have ever had. Breakfast was fantastic here - the view over the river is beautiful, the restaurant and outdoor areas are clean, and we were happy with the range of cuisines and their quality. Our only complaint is that the process of connecting to the resort's wifi is pretty cumbersome. They provide wifi vouchers each with its own username and password, but they need to be re-entered every time you reconnect, so you need to keep that paper voucher around or ask the front staff for a new one. Hopefully they change this to be a simpler process in the future. Overall, my wife and I HAPPILY recommend Na Nirand to anyone looking for a smaller luxury resort to stay at with staff that will show an extra level of care and accommodation. We really appreciated it, and if we ever come back to Chiang Mai then we know that this is where we'd stay again.

- • The room is in need to renovate. Housekeeping standards, especially in the bathroom, could be improved as it was not cleaned properly. The sink counter is quite small, and the headboard of the extra bed appeared dirty. It would be better to use a clean cover beneath the pillows or clean the headboard more thoroughly. The dressing table would also benefit from having a mirror. Unfortunately, the room did not match the photos advertised when I made the booking.
Calm and luxurious, it exceeded our expectations. We would definitely recommend
Peaceful, beautifully presented, excellent breakfast, lovely pool, super helpful staff

Great boutique hotel by the river.
Na Nirand Romantic Boutique Resort is an absolute masterpiece of an escape, perfectly capturing the romantic, old-world charm of Chiang Mai. Tucked quietly along the banks of the Ping River, this hidden gem beautifully blends 19th-century European colonial style with traditional Lanna heritage. Breakfast at TIME, was amazing and the property is pure bliss. What truly sets Na Nirand apart, however, is its exceptional hospitality. Priya from guest relations really went all out to make the stay memorable, executing every detail with the kind of genuine warmth and care that turns a great vacation into an unforgettable experience. The Verdict: A beautiful, soulful sanctuary with top-tier service. You will be dreaming about it long after you check out. Only set back was the thumping music from the bar across the river.

Fantastic stay
My wife and I were there for about a week for our honeymoon and could not speak any higher about our stay! Our room was absolutely fantastic. Clean, comfortable, and with a great size bathroom/shower. The staff was excellent. Attentive throughout our stay. They had made some nice honeymoon decor in our room to begin, they make a point to greet you upon exiting and entering the hotel, provided excellent service at the breakfast area (which is probably the best hotel breakfast area I have ever experienced personally), and they even brought my wife a little cake and sang to her on her birthday which we were blown away they even noticed her bday from her passport. We stayed at 3 different hotels across Thailand and this was definitely our favorite!
