Clean and safe accommodation near Taksim Square
I have stayed at Mint Residence several times. The location is ideal. 2 minutes walk to the shopping street İstiklal Caddesi, a good 5 minutes to Taksim Metro station, which provides connections to all districts of Istanbul. The rooms and the hotel in general have a 70s charm, so they are not modernly furnished, but they are very clean and perfect for a city trip. The daytime receptionist Eljan speaks very good English and the nighttime receptionist Serkan immediately helps with anything, whether it's sightseeing, Hamam/massages, restaurant tips, or airport taxis, etc. I always felt very well taken care of there and would stay there again anytime. I can only recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for a safe and relatively inexpensive place near Taksim Square, especially for solo female travelers.

- • Unfortunately, the room is a bit too small, we could hardly open our suitcase on the floor, but somehow managed.

- • It lacks a lot of maintenance, we had a leak in the bathroom and it took a couple of days to fix it, wear and tear on wallpapers, wooden baseboards, greetings, it is not as shown in the photos, they never changed a central lamp so we only had the side lights

The location and cleanliness. The reception staff was very friendly and I could leave my luggage before check-in and after check-out

- • Very small room and at night you could hear the noise of people in the street bars. Only affects if you are very sensitive

The location, very close to Taksim Square and the main street, very good. We were treated well and the interior rooms were very quiet. The air conditioning worked although it was very noisy as well as the fridge, which is appreciated. There was a super clean kettle and two waters. They clean the rooms daily for free. The size is a bit tight with no space to leave backpacks but sufficient for a few days. The shower pressure is very good!

- • The bed was very small and somewhat uncomfortable for my taste and the pillows were small and soft. There was some humidity in the bathroom, the toilet seat was broken, and the bathroom door handle was also damaged, but nothing major. I think the room lighting could be improved...
Everything was perfect. The staff is so kind and very helpful. It was an amazing experience to stay there.
