Our host was very nice, genuine, and flexible. She helped us in many matters, especially she upgraded our room to a little more spacious.
Accessibility is great, it's near everything, especially MTR, 7/11, and even the airport shuttle. Very conveniently located.

Maple Leaf Guesthouse is a must when in Hong Kong.
It was our 2nd time staying here, but this time we chose the biggest room available, and it was lovely with a great view... and of course, spotlessly clean as usual. I very much appreciate the owner/manager introducing herself in person. I didn't catch your name, madam, but it was really nice to meet you, and I promise we will come back.

- • Small rooms as expected. The entrance on the ground floor felt quite unsafe and a little confusing. I wouldn't stop and talk to anyone.

- • The room meets the basics considering you’re in Hong Kong: it’s small but functional. It has hot water, air conditioning, and the essentials for a short stay. However, the experience was seriously affected by a constant cleanliness issue. During the four days we stayed, we saw at least two cockroaches per day. The situation became especially uncomfortable on the last night when we found a small cockroach on the bed. After long days of exploring, the least you expect is to come back and rest comfortably, and this made that very difficult. I had read previous reviews mentioning this issue, but I didn’t think it would be this frequent. It’s extremely important that the property invests in proper pest control and improves its cleaning standards. Without that, I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Ideal location.
The location is perfect, close to Victoria Harbour, the metro, and the bus. The room was clean. The price, for being in Hong Kong, was very low.

- • The room and bathroom are very small, but for sleeping a couple of nights, they are fine. To enter, you have to go through a bit of a labyrinthine night market and queue for the elevator, but it wasn't a big problem.
