- • Breakfast with very low quality, fruits were hard and sour, only well presented. There weren't many food options and if you wanted something more, it's paid. For 165 reais per person, this buffet should be of very high quality with many more options. For dinner, I ordered a meat dish that should be of excellent quality and it was tough, both mine and my grandfather's... the only good meat we ate was a rib. The room was not properly cleaned. My grandfather used the coffee in the room every day and they didn't empty the coffee maker's trash, even though they replenished the coffee (if they did, obviously it was with the trash full). The bathroom floor had hair all the time, so it seems they didn't sweep or did it carelessly. The room's socket fell apart while I was plugging in the adapter. We paid 25,000 reais for 5 days here. At Copacabana Palace, we paid only 5,000 reais more for 5 days as well and the quality is drastically different. We expected the same quality or at least close to it, given the price, and it was a disappointment.

- • My stay at Fasano Hotel was very pleasant overall. The staff was friendly, professional, and attentive, and the food and restaurant service were excellent. The room was quiet, comfortable, and exactly what I was looking for. The main issue was housekeeping, which I believe needs improvement. Upon arrival, the bathroom did not appear to have been properly cleaned. The duvet cover had a stain near the foot of the bed, the throw blanket had visible dirty spots, and the floor still had debris even after the room was serviced. I also had an issue with airport transportation. I asked the front desk if the hotel offered airport transfer and was told yes, so I requested it. However, a taxi was arranged without clear communication about the cost. I was charged 300 reais, and only learned this when the driver asked if I had been informed. I had understood the service might be complimentary. For a hotel of Fasano’s level, I would expect either complimentary transport or clear pricing in advance so guests can make an informed decision. I likely would have chosen an Uber (around 200 reais) if I had known the cost. Overall, considering the nearly 10,000 reais paid for two nights, I expected a higher standard of cleanliness and clearer communication regarding services.
