Nice hotel. Very classic. We would stay elsewhere next time. Far from Old Montreal. Somewhat welcoming to the outsider.

- • Housekeeping missed us. Front desk stated they would extend stay then forgot to note so we were locked out. Beds way too soft. Homeless people everywhere out front.

- • The staff at the restaurant, the guy with no mustache but a beard, was racist. When I entered the hotel, he stalked around me for some time and then asked me what I was doing there. When I mentioned that I'm staying at the hotel, he gave me a cheap look and then said he had to check my name in the system. I asked if a person who is simply browsing and hasn't decided to eat anything, do you check in their names as well in the restaurant, to which he replied that they check in for every person who walks into the restaurant. This isn't the standard policy at most places, and his tone and gesture clearly showed his specific thoughts. Another reception desk night manager's tone was rude when I asked for water in the middle of the night. The laundry team damaged my jeans, and when I requested them to rectify it, they couldn't get the stain off.
The ambience was fabulous. Loved the room size, decor, and view. The food and restaurant aesthetic was top-notch.
