- • Room (number 8) without air conditioning, even at night it was like an oven. The only furniture was a bed (a single and a half, not double) with a mattress from the time of the pharaohs and a wooden pillow, a bedside table, and the ceiling fan. Without a chair, a small table, a cabinet, or hooks on the wall to hang clothes. It's a shame because the place would also be pleasant inside the courtyard.
Ahmad is the soul of Al Salam Camp and through his eyes, it is possible to get to know the wonderful Luxor from a different perspective.
The environment is well-kept and clean, the common space is very pleasant but the highlight is definitely the owner Ahmad who helped us organize all the activities in Luxor and the travels in Egypt. Ahmad is a kind person rich in stories to tell, but also a good listener and available for any need. He allowed us to see sides of Luxor that not all tourists have the opportunity to observe and in his own way, he helps the most disadvantaged community. The location is great, being close to the city center but still away from the chaos and noise. Despite the heat, our room was equipped with a fan that allowed us to rest without problems. The meals at the camp were very good and plentiful, at fair prices. We stayed at the camp for 3 days and were sorry to leave, the atmosphere was friendly and homely. I recommend everyone to stop here, the value for money is excellent! We will definitely come back to visit Ahmad, who has now become a friend.

Comfortable and clean hotel. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Great breakfast. The hotel is well located for visits to Luxor (Valley of the Kings, temples, ...).

- • I recommend the hotel but if I have to mention something, I would say that the toilets flood when taking a shower. A table in the room would be appreciated but nothing serious.
A quiet place away from the crowds of tourists. There are small bungalows with shared shower and toilet facilities.

- • Maybe a few years ago this place was really great. But now it is very dilapidated and requires at least cosmetic repairs.
I hope to come again.
The owner of the camp was really good, helpful, and easy to get along with. He organized our excursions.
