- • The experience was very disappointing and absolutely does not match the expected level of a five-star establishment. The reception staff, especially during check-in, were not pleasant or helpful. When we wanted to extend our stay by two nights, we were asked to go through Booking. So we modified our reservation directly on the platform to add the extra nights. However, this modification was rejected three times in front of us, with the explanation that a new reservation had to be made. The reason seems obvious: extending through reservation modification would cost around €300 for two nights, while a new reservation was offered at around €400. This kind of practice is hard to understand and seems very inappropriate for a hotel of this caliber. Another particularly problematic point: every day, our room key was deactivated. We found ourselves several times locked out of our room and had to go back to the reception to have it reactivated. This kind of repeated malfunction is clearly unacceptable in a five-star establishment. Finally, upon check-out, the reception insisted on payment for the last night, even though it had been settled the day before. We had to show our payment receipts for them to finally acknowledge the error. A particularly unpleasant and hardly acceptable situation for an establishment of this level. A generally frustrating experience, mainly due to the reception management.
