Better than expected stay

We have been staying with THH ZEST Hotel for many times. ZEST never disappoints us and we always every stay with them.

Dirty toilet

Room is dirty. Breakfast is bad with limited space to walk in the restaurant. Very squeezy and food is worst of all. Toilet was very dirty. My last visit unless the whole world has no more hotel to go.

Good choice if you want to stay near the ferry jetty. You can walk out from the harbour bay if you want to use Grab because it was prohibited for Grab driver to take passenger in the Harbour Bay but they are allowed to send direct in front of the hotel. Have seafood restaurant nearby.

Very convenient to ferry terminal at Harbour Bay. Within minutes of walking distance. Plenty of F & B outlets nearby but many empty shop lots and shop lots within mall around the area. Odd number rooms have a view of Singapore. Room specious.

Home away from home.

A great place to relax. Close to the Kelong Seafood area, walking distance to the jetty, very friendly staff and flexible check-in time and late check out. Breakfast could be better but still better than breakfast in many European hotels.

Location is close to the ferry terminal. Town is 15 mins walk away.

Toilet Ventilation

The toilet ventilation need to be fixed. Once its turn on, was so loud and vibration is strong. On 26sep, when our neighbour beside turns on the ventilation, we were awoken up by the sound @532am, it was so noisy and strong. That I need call receptionist for help let them call beside neighbour to turn it off, thats was the unbearful thing because we had been disturbed and couldn't sleep back after awhile. Beside that, even during the day neighbouring upstairs turns on, we could feel and hear too. But overall, location and service is great. we didn't try the breakfast, so no comment.

This hotel is great value for money and the location is perfect if you arrive in the ferry.

I like quite places, and zest hotel suits me..only 2 minutes walk to harbourbay ferry terminal. The mall is yet to be fully developed, at least i still can shop for basis necessities... i like it

I have stayed at this property many times and always had a great experience. It is comfortable, clean, convenient and the staff is the best - very friendly and helpful. The only bad point is the hotel taxi. The reception quoted a price of IDR35,000 to go to the city but when we asked the driver and security guard, they quoted IDR80,000. The prior day we took the hotel taxi to the same location for IDR35,000. It is not a matter of money but the matter of feeling cheated. This needs to be addressed by the management

Good if u re in a budget. Room does not have hot water boiler, tea bags,coffee and fridge. But staff willing to help us put our beers bought from outside in the restaurant fridge. The outside of the hotel nice to sit and drink. The breakfast was fine but dont expect to have much variety. But the small spread was nice especially their porridge. Just a place to sleep and do ur activities. The mattress was not so comfy, abit to the spring type but ok for jus 1 or 2 nights. Safe and situated in a quiet place.

For the price we paid for a night (SGD35), it's definitely a fantastic deal! We got a room on the 6th floor, overlooking the sea. Room size is definitely decent for two adults, although the toilet is on the small side. Even came with bottled mineral water, toothbrushes and toothpaste. Cleanliness wise, not in the best condition. Breakfast buffet was decent. Location is perfect - so close to the ferry terminal, with a convenience store just a few steps away.

Simple no frills hotel. Walking distance from the Ferry Terminal. Rooms were simple and clean. Nothing fancy eg. Electric Kettle etc.

Everything was great about the hotel. Convenient location, clean hotel and very friendly staff, a new mall just next to the hotel and seafood is just a walk away. Love it!

My family had a one night stay recently, we have enjoy our stay there and here is honest feedback to share for pro & con (only my personal experience & may not apply to all). The Pro: Friendly staffs, free transport service to and fro to Hagoyal hill shopping, Good location for ferry terminal as is walking distance to hotel, not crowded, many eateries, seafood, good massage and cheap cinema tickets in the Mall. Con : Hotel do not provide hair dryer, no fridge, hot water, tower looks dirty, bedsheet got kind of smell looks un-wash. Hotel only issued one door access card, and a small mall nearby whereby most of the shops are not open. *maybe one can't ask for more in terms of the price paid. ha. Thank you anyway~

Hotel is located near by the beach, staff unfriendly, room is very clean but the mattress is not very good.. My husband a nd I got backpain after spend a night there. For breakfast, there's plenty of menu but the taste is poor.. So hopefullly hotel management can improve their services in future.

A Great Hotel With Rooms For Further Improvements

Hotel is located within a walking distance from the Harbour Bay Ferry Teminal , seafood restaurants and convenience stores. Staffs sevices are pleasant. Hotel also allowed flexible check ins Areas of Improvements 1) Air Con wasn't able to cool down the room 2) There wasn't any lock in the bathroom or toilet 3) Limited breakfast choices 4) It would be better to equip room with fridges

Very good service but bed bugs often

All the service staff are very pleasant and helpful. I have stayed a number of times and sometimes the bed sheets are not properly cleaned (had stains) and often there are bed bugs. Need to improve significantly on cleanliness otherwise will choose to frequent other neighbouring hotels.

我和我的女朋友去2天1夜，以前的酒店真的很满意，而这间真的烂。一个晚上停电几次最后换个房间，墙壁都是裂缝还有几只大壁虎。如果那么多酒店还是第一次在酒店看到壁虎的。有免费巴士也没有和我们说，只说坐酒店德士35000，如果有人要去batam想book这间酒店，你们可要三思而后行，要不然你们晚上睡觉会有宵夜吃的。

Quite place for a weekend getaway.

Pleasant enviornment. The hotel does not houses KTV room and it's quite in the evening. My kind it place for relaxing.

Zest hotel: good service but bed bugs

The hotel front counter staff and other staff you meet are very polite and helpful. Room is comfortable. The only problem is the standard of laundry cleanliness. The bed sheets are not properly washed and there are bed bugs. If they improve substantially and quickly in this area, I will rank Zest hotel much more highly.

Nice hotel

Great hotel staff, especially Ms Chikita. She is an exemplary staff who is customer orientated, Always courteous and service with a beautiful smile. She is knowledgeable not only with hotel services but also aware of what Batam can offer to visitors.

Excellent service

I have been a regular customer of Zest Hotel every month. The Reception Staff are helpful and courteous.The room service and the security is efficient and helpful too. In particular, I would like to commend Ms Chikita as she is an exemplary staff as she is very professional in carry out her roles. Chikita is always courteous and helpful with any queries. She has the makings of being a role model. I would strongly recommend that the hotel management promote her and reward her with BEST STAFF of the year 2018 and also reward her with good bonuses. Zest Hotel should treasure having such an excellent staff.

I love the location, its near to Ferry Terminal. Though its far from city, its easy to get a cab from the hotel.

Surprised that this budget hotel comes with such great standards! Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Beds are comfortable. Water heater temperature is stable. Good spread of breakfast. Hotel is walking distance from ferry terminal and surrounding is quiet. Nothing much in the nearby area and you have to get a car to go into the city centre.

Nice hotel close to the Terminal

Close to the ferry terminal. About 8 minutes walk from the Harbour to the hotel. You save on time and travel! In the evening there is great and ‘cheap’ sea food near the Harbour.

The moment i check in i know the blanket was not changed from previous guest. At first it was just a suspect but when i use the blanket i can smell the balm oil on half of the blanket. Bloody hell this is obviously used by someone before. Why would a washed blanket have that ointment smell at only half the bkanket. The hotel better give me a good reply on how they can compensate me or i will never go back there.

Bedsheet was not very clean. Can also see that the towels are very old already.

i booked the hotel as a pay at the hotel through expedia then the hotel demanded becauae its chinese new year to pay earlier what is this i already comfirmed my card if i wanted to pay straight online i would have opted for this then they said if i dont pay within one day they would cancel my booking not a very good practice the place is nice but i will never stay there again due to this and wont reccomend to anyone because of this

The hotel not bad, room so so can sleep. Wey wey seafood walking distance and shopping mall also near by, other shopping mall also nearby take taxi about RP$60.

it would be nicer if there is a hair dryer and a mini fridge .
