We had an amazing stay at Placita Vieja. It is located in the parque de los Novios, close to all the major tourist attractions in Santa Marta. The breakfast was amazing, the staff was friendly and extremely helpful with any request we had. The pool is small but great as well and the room was amazing.

- • It's not the hotel's fault but sleeping well and deeply is extremely difficult given its location and the noise of the main square. Luckily, the hotel staff provides earbuds to help you sleep.
Central but VERY noisy
The hotel is very central and well located. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and clean.

- • Very noisy!! The volume of the music in the square's establishments was extremely high (so much so that they already leave earplugs on the nightstand for you). One of the rooms had no window (well, it had one but it faced a wall). We requested a room change and had to pay an extra fee. The hotel is okay, but I don't think it corresponds to a 5-star rating.
Superb one-week stay!
The breakfast was delicious and complete. We enjoyed our large balcony and the pool. The room was beautiful. The hotel is very well located in old Santa Marta near everything and the staff is very kind.

- • It was Holy Week and there was a lot of noise and music until the early hours of the morning. Fortunately, they provided us with earplugs. Our mattress was too soft.

Everything, very cute and the bathroom in the pool was very refreshing. The staff is super friendly.
