Een magisch verblijf in Ubud
Ik verbleef in Ritz-Carlton Mandapa voor mijn huwelijksreis. Het was een geweldige en bijzondere ervaring! Het meest opvallende was de zeer vriendelijke, nauwkeurige en gastvrije service die we van iedereen ontvingen.... van de lobby tot de zwembadbar tot de onderhoudsmedewerker, enz. We voelden ons zo goed verzorgd. Het eten was ook een hoogtepunt... alles was zo lekker en zeer goed gedaan, vooral het zeer uitgebreide ontbijt in het restaurant. De kamer en het hotel waren ook vlekkeloos en onberispelijk. Onze villa voelde als een stukje paradijs, met prachtig uitzicht op de rivier. Alles magisch! Marka, onze butler, maakte ons verblijf nog specialer. Hij hield voortdurend contact via Whatsapp, vroeg of we iets nodig hadden of stelde activiteiten voor. Zo'n speciale man die een verblijf als dit nog specialer maakt.

A bitter feeling
Beautiful location! An overwhelming feeling when you enter the Mandapa. The rooms are beautiful and the staff is extremely friendly! The food is also delicious!

- • However, there are a few downsides: in the afternoon we wanted to relax by the pool but unfortunately there were too few sunbeds. There is a beautiful spa, but we had to adjust our entire schedule because there is very little availability, while everything is not really cheap. The fine dining restaurant is the same, upon arrival we wanted to book the restaurant immediately but there was no availability for any evening during our stay, really unfortunate. We had paid the hotel in advance when booking, and after the first day they came to say that we had to pay again, that they had not received the money. Fortunately, we had proof of payment, and it was eventually sorted out. We left with a bitter feeling. We had checked out of our room but were allowed to use the facilities until our departure, which is usual in other hotels as well, but when we came from the pool at check out, I asked where I could change because I was in a beach dress, he escorted me with my suitcase to the toilet of the nearest restaurant and I had to change in the toilets! This was such a letdown! Normally, a space with a shower is provided but here NOTHING! I have never experienced having to change in a small toilet and you certainly do not expect it from such a hotel after paying thousands of euros.
