- • The hotel does not have a pool, the gym is makeshift, and the lobby is small. Another thing that upset me a lot was about the reservation. I made the reservation almost a month in advance, and if I hadn't called the day before, I wouldn't have known that my reservation had been canceled, claiming that my card had been declined. Neither BOOKING nor the hotel informed me about the cancellation. I spoke with the hotel and made a new reservation. As soon as I arrived, they blocked 5200 (the same card they said had declined the reservation and that it was just a guarantee and would not be charged). To avoid further embarrassment, I said I would pay with another card (debit). At check-out, I paid with the Wize card and continued my trip to Portugal. After a few days, when I went to pick up the rental car, I saw that the 5200 was being charged to the card. I was very tense and upset, had to call several times, got upset on the journey from Lisbon to the Algarve trying to resolve the situation. Now everything is resolved, but I had totally unnecessary embarrassments and annoyances during and after the stay. And that's it!!
