- • 1. On the day I checked in, there was a musty smell in the room, probably due to recent rainy days; 2. The air conditioning temperature cannot be adjusted by oneself, and the temperature is relatively low at night, affecting sleep; 3. The hotel is located on the mountain, some elevators are out of service, you need to carry your luggage up the stairs, not very convenient.

- • Only one particular staff member was rude but this did not affect my experience. Loud moving chairs that you can hear above, maybe padding the bottom of them so they don't make so much noise is good. It's a long distance to the MTR station but I enjoyed the walk.
Quiet and convenient, but rooms were old and worn
It is a peaceful place to stay in Mei Foo, but also HK in general, away from all the traffic and hustle and bustle. We enjoyed the quiet, views from high up, and the friendly twin (?) cats. We didn't mind having to walk a few minutes to get to the buses and metro. It's a convenient location. Despite the many staircases, they accommodate for those with mobility issues with the lifts installed along the gradual elevation. The rooms were fairly large and the beds were comfortable.

- • The rooms were older and noticeably worn, as was the bathroom. Opening a large suitcase was not very easy, and I wish they had a foldable luggage chair (or two) to avoid having to open my suitcase on the floor.
