Exceptional service, beautiful grounds, and wonderful food!
First and foremost, the service at Hunter's Country House is truly unparalleled. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, proactively offering help and personalizing our stay to our needs—it felt like every staff member knew who we were! We loved the thoughtful touches, from the warm notes and sweets waiting in our immaculately clean room to finding our rental car washed with a bag of water and road snacks ready for us at checkout. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated, and the estate grounds are stunning (we even spotted deer and baboons wandering around). Dining was another highlight; the included breakfast was generous with a large selection, and our dinners at Sage and Zinzi were delicious, offering a great wine selection and excellent value for money. Highly recommended!

One of the best stays during our trip
We absolutely loved our stay! The cottage was beautiful, huge, and surrounded by a peaceful forest, with its own private garden. The location between Knysna and Plettenberg Bay was very convenient for exploring and doing activities in both areas. The restaurants on the property were honestly some of the best we tried during our entire trip. One of the highlights was the night sky—when the sky was clear, we could see millions of stars and even the Milky Way. Such a beautiful and peaceful place, and definitely one of our favorite stays of the trip!

Het was een geweldige plek waar je helemaal tot rust kunt komen. Een prachtige verblijf met keuze uit heerlijke restaurants. Het ontbijt lijkt eerder op een high tea,het is echt een feestje om hier te mogen zijn. Er zijn overal mooie plekjes gecreëerd om heerlijk te lezen, te genieten van alles. Vuurtjes worden aangemaakt. Deze mensen die hier werken zijn allemaal ontzettend vriendelijk en kundig.
