All good. felt 5 star. Warm, cosy yet plenty of space, electric blanket, very clean and tidy, quiet room, and very helpful reception staff. Excellent value for money.

Christchurch first visit
The location was perfect for the city. Room spotless and well equipped. Good information from reception. Good value for money.

Great place to stay. Ventilation poor, or no privacy
There is no aircon for hot days/nights. We did know this when we booked . There is a fan. There is a very very small push out window for the only fresh air. If you want to have the door open security camera sees right into all of your room. Very clean and convenient room. But not private unless you are happy with no air flow at all. Laundry $6 large load of washing which was convenient. Helpful and friendly lady at reception.

Perfect location, welcoming staff, and an amazing jetted tub!
The location is absolutely amazing, as it is within easy walking distance of the city center. The reception staff were incredibly kind and helpful, which made a very positive impression on me from the moment I arrived. One of the highlights was the jetted tub—it was fantastic and so relaxing! Everything was great, and the only thing that could have made it even better would be having a washing machine in the facility. Aside from that, it was a wonderful stay!

Perfect tourist hotel
We loved the location, close to the CBD. The management were so friendly; the room cleaned as needed. Laundry on the premise was excellent!

Great location and nice, quiet place
This is a great location for walking around Christchurch city center. The place was clean and had nice amenities. The concierge was helpful in recommending things to do.

Great location.5 minutes walk into Christchurch City Centre & Christchurch Cathedral
Great location 5 minute walk into Christchurch Cathedral and city centre. The accommodation was clean and presentable, we were in a one bed studio flat, the bedroom was on the first floor which was nice. There are tea and coffee facilities, if you need to cook there is a hob, but be advised not to cook fish or any other smelly food as you will get charged extra! There is a local restaurant called The Guardian Bar & Grill, food was delicious and very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend this motel 5/5

Great little gem!
Extremely pleasant stay in a very clean and well located apartment in Christchurch ! The room was fairly big with a nice patio. Close to all the restaurants. Parking was free! I Would absolutely recommend !

Excellent choice in Christchurch
A wonderful room with spa bath in this peaceful and excellent accommodation very close to Christchurch city centre. Very helpful reception lady who helped us see the best of the centre during our short stay. Spotless accommodation with every single amenity you can think of. Do stay here if in Christchurch - we can highly recommend it.

Appalling Customer Service
Our stay at the Columbo in the City was very disappointing. We travel extensively, but the customer service here, in particular, was the worst experience we've ever had. We were shown to a room that was one third smaller than the one we booked. The lady then gave us a convoluted excuse to try and explain that this was somehow normal. When we questioned this, the lady described us 'as difficult customers'. Booking a room she said was 'a bit like a rubik's cube', which left us utterly dumbfounded. We felt it only right that the room grade we booked was the room we should get. The motel itself is fine, but nothing special. It is fairly close to city centre which is good. However, with so many other options available, we'd suggest you look elsewhere.
