Phan Anh Hotel - Bui Vien Walking Street

Didn't get the arrival fruit on arrival, wouldn't usually moan but I was hungry.

Stayed in a private room, it was bigger than expected and much nicer than a dorm, with toiletries and a fridge/kettle included. Best nights sleep on my 2 week trip round Cambodia and vietnam. There were 2 windows high on the wall into the corridor, which seemed weird as they were open when I got into the room so I could hear everyone in the hallway, they should have blinds etc ideally to stop the light coming in overnight. We also didn't know the main entrance woukd be closed and shuttered up at a certain time, or how to get in when we came back to find this. A bit more info at check in woukd have been good.

I stayed for one night before going to Muine on the first day in Ho Chi Minh. It was convenient because the place to take the sleeping bus was close. It's suitable to stay for the price range.

I took the 109 bus from the airport and got off at the September 23 Park Bus Terminal. When I showed the locals the map address printed on the internet, they immediately pointed and told me. It was evening and dark, so I was worried if I could find it, but I was able to find it without any difficulty. The hostel staff was available 24 hours, but during the 5 days of my stay, there were no Japanese guests, and there were few Japanese guests, so communication in Japanese with the staff was not effective at all. There were guests from Europe, guests from all over the world. And English was spoken as if it were the common language of the world. Since I'm not very good at English, I spent the 5 days in written conversations and gestures. I thought the staff were kind in a way. I participated in tours in Ho Chi Minh through the hostel. A pick-up came to the hostel and guided me to the tour bus. On the way back, I was dropped off at an unfamiliar place, but when I showed the note with the hostel's address to people on the street, everyone tried hard to tell me.

Terrific location, great service and great price

I have been using it several times since I liked it better than Fan An Hostel, but I changed to Saigon Hostel 1, Saigon Hostel 2, and 7 nights in a row at affiliated hostels four times due to double booking. I'm very disappointed with this double booking even though I chose to book because of the location conditions of the hostel and the presence of an elevator due to my bad knees.

Very helpful staff, they gave me tips on how to go around the city since I'm alone. Hostel is located in a great spot. Very close to the heart of action.

Clean hostel, cute decoration, staff is very helpful, everything is good except that the hostel is a bit far, but there are taxis passing by all the time, or you can use the bus service as there is a bus stop in front, making it very convenient.

Nice and quiet place

Good location in a small alley without noise. Nice and clean rooms for the price. Elevator -:)
