A night that will remain in our memories

The room is very beautiful, very well appointed, great work in decorating the overall accommodation. We had a very good stay, however short it may be.

A cabinet of curiosities as a surprise

This is worth booking, just to see it all once. Check-in was easy. The entrance to the reception, a real cabinet of curiosities, is through a narrow corridor between two fences (50 steps). The building is an old bakery from the previous century and the owner has decorated everything in an original way, mixing traditional and special elements. The entire ground floor is a succession of rooms. Many original parts of the building are still visible. Plenty of parking available in the immediate surroundings. It was very hot (32 degrees) when we were there, but that building must be excellently insulated because it remained pleasant in the room, both during the day and at night. The rooms for accommodation are only accessible via a staircase and decorated according to different themes (we had the "chalet" room). You enter a hallway, with a sofa and a wardrobe, connecting the room and the bathroom. The room itself is spacious with a sitting area and a large TV, and the bathroom is huge. It is all furnished without unnecessary luxury, very practical. The building is always lit, both inside and outside, and the entrance is secured with a door with a code lock. We came back very late at night and could find our way without any problems. There is a fridge and a microwave oven on the ground floor (however, nothing available to heat up, so you have to bring your own or buy a ready-to-nuke meal). Plates can be used from the rooms downstairs and you can ask the owner for extra cutlery if needed. Furthermore, everything that is mentioned on the website is available. We briefly met the owner, a very friendly and helpful gentleman. We chose this accommodation because it was not far from Braives, where we had to attend a wedding. But from now on, we will definitely keep this in mind as the first choice when we return to this region of Belgium.

A special and pleasant stay

The whole ambiance. A fantastically creatively and originally decorated location. Like walking around in a friendly haunted house. Every room was surprisingly decorated and could also be used. Reading, playing, exercising, relaxing; everything was possible. Our own room was sleek and neatly decorated and equipped with all comforts.
