location perfect for Abu Simbel temple, friendly staff
Location is perfect, just a 10 to 12 minutes walk to the Abu Simbel temple complex. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They offered some interesting local options, including the sound and light show and boat rides at sunrise and sunset. We took the sunset boat ride and got some interesting photographs of Abu Simbel seen from the water. The omelettes at breakfast were delicious and about the best that we have ever had! The bathroom facilities were very modern, including remarkable controls for the shower. Our room had a domed ceiling!

It was the worst overall accommodation experience, including transportation arrangements. The hotel will be rated 1 point, the lowest rating. The Molokhia soup served by the chef at dinner was excellent, so I will give another point to the chef. I will never stay here again.
The hotel room itself was a normal, clean budget accommodation. There are no partitions, so the entire bathroom gets wet, but there is plenty of hot water. The staff were also kind in a normal way. The restaurant food was very delicious.

- • The problem occurred after check-out. I had reserved a minivan (?) to Aswan hotel departing between 9-10 am for 1000 pounds per person (about 3000 yen), but after 9:30, the receptionist said that the car had left without picking me up. The 1000 pounds were refunded. The hotel staff took me to the bus stop (I paid 50 pounds for the tuk-tuk myself) and asked to be taken to Aswan by a local shared bus for 300 pounds (about 900 yen), as they would drop me off at the Aswan hotel. When I asked the driver at the bus stop using Google Translate, he said they wouldn't depart until there were 10 people. After waiting for 2 hours, by noon, there were only 5 passengers including me. The driver started negotiating with me, saying they wouldn't depart until there were 15 people, but if I paid 2000 pounds, they would depart immediately. Even when I said you mentioned 10 people earlier using Google Translate, the conversation didn't go well. After a weak negotiation, I ended up paying 30 dollars (about 4800 yen) to depart. The bus interior (clearly not for 15 people) had no air conditioning, it was hot, cramped, smelled of gasoline, and one passenger was smoking. After spending an extra 2 hours, I felt so frustrated and pathetic for paying 30 dollars for this. I was dropped off in front of the Aswan hotel. I am truly filled with unpleasant feelings.
