- • A disappointing experience. The hotel appears not to have been properly maintained for a long time. The room felt dirty, worn out, and uncomfortable. To be fair to the cleaning staff, the problem was not poor housekeeping, but rather the condition of the furniture and fittings, which were old, heavily worn, and clearly past their useful life.

The staff was kind and promptly responded to requests such as hot water usage and room cleaning. Also, there were many power outlets in the room, which was convenient.

- • At first glance, do not trust the photos! Dirty rooms (stains on the walls, sticky dust on unseen surfaces, shower drain filled with hair, exposed sockets, a pile of sticky dust under the bed, black sticky marks from all over Belgium on the desk chair, on the doors, mold in the shower that easily comes off when scratched, so zero cleaning effort). I allow myself these remarks as a former chambermaid! I got stuck in their elevator that is hanging by a thread... I have sclerosis, I always choose a hotel with an elevator. When I got angry with them, telling them that now I would have to climb 20 steps, they blamed me for not asking for a ground floor room... The problem is not my difficulty in walking but with stairs. I had to get upset myself and ask for a gesture from them, compensation, or at least a refunded night. They wanted to offer me breakfast knowing that I had just complained about hygiene! So yes, I couldn't leave because I didn't have the strength or the financial means to leave, and I didn't want to disappoint my daughter whom I took to a concert!! 136 euros paid on booking, 8 euros in taxes with them... I wasn't looking for luxury, but I think hygiene is fundamental in a hotel no matter the price. We are not looking for beauty. We are looking for a minimum of comfort. In short, I decided to finish this damn stay because the sheets are washed by a company, I was rather reassured until I removed the sheets to facilitate the passage of the chambermaid, bloodstain, yellow-brown mattress topper... I also came across boxes of dead rats at the reception.
Central location
It was very central and right next to the train station. Simply a great location and I also liked the decor. The staff was also very kind and accommodating. For the price, it was great.

- • The cleanliness... The bed was clean, but this was lacking in the shower and on the walls. Also, during the day and at night, sometimes an alarm went off at the neighbors. That was very disturbing.
Price/performance ok
Relatively newly renovated, clean room including bathroom. Parking option in the underground garage (20€). The sights are within walking distance. Friendly staff, both at reception and during breakfast.

Definitely recommend, I have been staying here for years and it's just a top location and service and clean, staff really helpful and much more
