- • The lift was not working . Room n toilet vey small n uncomfortable.
The best hotel experience in all my travels (and they are extensive)
from pulling up to the front door, and entering the hotel, I was blown away. I felt as if I had been transported back in time, with all current day amenities. This is truly a once in a lifetime experience, shared with my adult daughter and her friend. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough, and cannot imagine why anyone would stay anywhere else.

Stayed for five nights, overall pretty good, great value for money. The staff is friendly and able to solve problems. Had breakfast at the hotel every day, also tried lunch and dinner, I think the restaurant is above average, providing a basic understanding of local cuisine, very suitable as the first meal upon arrival. Even had live music during dinner! Sometimes there is a barbecue buffet for dinner. The hotel has a swimming pool, but I didn't use it.

This hotel was the biggest surprise in terms of accommodation on my trip. Beautiful with a delightful atmosphere of colonial grandeur, fantastic room. You can easily walk to the area with eateries, warungs, shops, and Jalan Malioboro. Delicious food and amazingly extensive breakfast. Such a shame I didn't plan to stay longer.

Every member of staff treated us with respect and courtesy at every opportunity during our time with you. I would like to extend my personal gratitude to Ayunda in the restaurant for being so thoughtful, caring and welcoming. One breakfast service she noticed that we were sitting at a table that was in the glare of sunlight. In hindsight, I realise that she had noticed the sunlight on us and, as soon as another table became available, Ayunda offered to move us, which she did. A short time later, the same thing was happening with the sun and she kindly offered to move us again but we were coming to the end of our meal and getting ready to leave anyway. This level of treatment was above and beyond our expectations. I also understand that Ayunda is on the training program and I think she will become a valuable member of staff and I wish her all the success she deserves in the future. Thank you.

Received a warm reception during the stay
All the staff members were always very friendly and helpful with a smile. I had breakfast and one dinner, the food was delicious, and the dining staff were very kind and friendly. The prices were reasonable too. The location was fantastic, within walking distance to Malioboro Street, and there were many good restaurants and cafes around the hotel.

- • If I had to mention one thing, it would be better if the shampoo and conditioner were separate.
