- • The room we initially had was dirty, smelt of waste and very worn/falling apart. Hairs in the sink and on the bed sheets, holes in the bed sheets, mould in the bathroom, mouldy shower head. It was appalling. We arrived late so decided to speak to reception the following morning. At breakfast there were holes in the chairs, again it was very dirty and all in all just very poor. We raised our concerns to guest services who kindly assisted us to a new room and they did provide a small upgrade to be able to eat in the à la carte breakfast and lunch restaurant. However this was the bare minimum of what you would expect with the money paid to stay. The whole hotel had a smell of waste, we believe it was the water and there is a lot of water features in the hotel. I think they must be aware of the smell as they burn insence in a lot of the areas. The sports bar was almost derelict, the toilets in there were dirty the whole time we stayed so I assume do not get cleaned. During our stay the air conditioning was broken due to electrical issues. Guest services again helped with this because they found a fan for us, so kind. The gym never had water available again due to electricity issues the fountains were all out of use, it was also so hot in there too which actually is not exactly safe if you cannot even access fresh drinking water. All in all just so disappointing and really not worth the money at all!
Stunning hotel, pure luxury throughout.
Amazing hotel, stunning interior and well laid out. Fantastic choice of restaurants all specialising in different cuisines. Nice separation of family and adults only for day and night. Great access to the beach with private loungers and towel services conveniently located around the pool and beach. Plenty of room everywhere, doesn’t feel crowded. Very clean and felt very safe. The suite we had was excellent, very spacious and very good daily cleaning service. 24/7 gym with decent equipment. Staff were extremely polite and friendly, taking drink orders from your loungers throughout the day.

- • Some of the restaurants were definitely better than others. Having to book the restaurants in advance you had to be very organised (days ahead) or risk not getting a table. The immediate surroundings outside of the hotel are very rundown, we had a rented car and driving around the local area was a big contrast to the 5 star luxury behind the entrance gates. Inside the confines of the hotel felt extremely safe and secure though. Evening entertainment wasn’t the best, only one ‘sports’ bar stayed open late but the theme/events planned weren’t always very popular or well executed.
If you come for the beach, don't come.
The hotel is very nice. The food in some of the restaurants is very good. The drinks are very good too. The gym is very complete.

- • The beach is very ugly. Although they take care to keep the sand clean, unfortunately, the sea was full of seaweed. The bottom was full of stones that were not visible due to the brown water and the horrible smell. You choose these destinations for the beach and we only used the pool. Another thing is that they have loungers that charge you 30 USD to use. I think the rate we had already paid (The reserve) was enough to have access to all services. They constantly pursue you to sell you the Meliá program. They gave us some very nice hats with used towels! The food at the Resto Sal was forgettable.
