Great hotel, restaurant and location
Hot pools and views of the mountain. Their restaurant serves the most fabulous food and thoroughly enjoyed the relaxed but vibrant feel.

- • They should have coffee and tea in the rooms without being required to request what coffee and tea you require each day. Picking this up from reception I felt was not aligned with the cost of the rooms and I felt should have been automatically included in the room.
Very fun and spectacular.
El Canoe is a very comfortable, modern hotel with good service, comfortable and modern rooms. You can walk to downtown Banff in 15 minutes and have the option to take the bus that stops in front of the hotel. The hotel gives you tickets for the bus. I love the front terrace that the hotel has.

Clean comfy modern hotel
Modern spacious rooms. Kitchenette perfect, bathroom nice. Hot pool/spa was great.

- • Shower flow rate was very poor given the lovely shower. AC was very noisy, it was either very noisy blowing full or off. I’d expect an in-room AC system with 24/7 climate control in a new hotel. I would also expect a smart TV to be able to watch YouTube/Netflix (own accounts) to unwind in the evening. A small gym for rowing/weights. Having to ask for tea/coffee is very clumsy; we want tea/coffee when we want it, not have to plan it when on holiday. - just small improvements but overall very happy.

Location ++ a bit away from the center avoids being in the middle of noise because it's very lively. I chose this room for the view, this room supposedly called a suite... just a sofa in addition to the very expensive bed!! doesn't deserve it. For over 800 Canadian dollars, not even a bottle of water in the room. Coffee distributed sparingly. Microwave in the room? What for, there isn't even a small spoon!

- • The air conditioning is extremely noisy, impossible to leave it on at night... staff not very responsive on the subject except to suggest turning it off... thank you!

- • Parking - low ceiling, luggage rack could not fully open, then had problems closing.
The staff and the overall facilities were amazing, but for the price, I expected better beds.
The room was nice, the balcony was wonderful, the shower and the bathroom were great, and we loved the hot tubs. The staff were all very nice and helpful. The fast breakfast options at Sudden Sally's were all really delicious, and the breakfast prices were fair.

- • The bed was not very comfortable. There was some sort of cover on the mattress that was loud when people were moving around in their sleep. The bed was just not very soft. We stayed for five nights, so that got to be long on an uncomfortable bed.
