Pleasant stay in a room in a Victorian villa in Port Chalmers village
The room is located on the ground floor of the owners' Victorian villa in the small port town of Port Chalmers. The owner told us it is one of the oldest houses in the village. The room is tastefully decorated with the owner's own artwork, which is for sale.

- • The rooms have a high stud height, so required heating using two supplied portable electric heaters, which were a bit fiddly to adjust to maintain the room at a comfortable temperature. The room looks out to the front garden/balcony, there is no view of the harbor.

The host makes you feel very warm and nice. The room is beautiful and clean, with sufficient electric heaters for warmth. The bathroom is large, and the shower experience is great. The breakfast is exquisite and delicious.

Great location, wonderful hosts, gorgeous room - highly recommended.
Everything we could have wished for and more - we couldn’t fault anything. Spacious room and the bathroom was lovely.

Beautiful stay in a lovely location
Beautiful building in a very interesting location. We used it as a stopping place but could have easily stayed longer. Short drive to Aramoana beach which is gorgeous. 20 mins from Dunedin but feels very peaceful. Lots of nice touches in the room. We paid extra for breakfast in the room and were glad we had.
