Exceptional views and service - go on, just book!
The view from the property was incredible and one of the highlights on our trip to Brazil. Exceptionally good service from Lucas - nothing was too much trouble he was an absolute delight to be around and is a real asset to the business.

Incredible view and perfect welcome!
The kindness of Lucas who welcomed us perfectly and assisted us during our stay! Very comfortable bedding, neat decoration, and perfect breakfast. A spectacular view of the Sugarloaf and the Corcovado from the rooftop bar and pool.

- • Santa Teresa is a very nice neighborhood but a bit off-center. The Pousada itself is a bit away from the center of Santa Teresa. We had difficulties finding taxis willing to take us back in the evening after dinner.
Magnificent view in a picturesque neighborhood
The neighborhood and the view are beautiful. Access is less easy. The services are exceptional. Quality of breakfast and welcome.

Mansion under Christ the Redeemer: unforgettable
Stunning property on a crest on Santa Theresa, with a superb terrace under the Redeemer; large rooms with glass fronted view onto the hillside. Santa Theresa is fascinating (if not for everyone). Getting to and from was not difficult with taxis that the always-available Lucas would arrange for, and we never had too much trouble getting back, or even walking down (from the Selador steps) but it requires alertness and drivers who know the routes through the favelas.

Loved the views and the provisions for snacks and cocktails. Staff were super helpful and accommodating.

- • Access was a little painful for taxis up a long winding hill with sharp turns but I guess they are used to it! Not an area to take local walks.

Our stay at Rio 144 was one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like family. The service was flawless (Thalita 👏👏) and every detail -from cleanliness to comfort-was top. The room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, with thoughtful touches (mosquito spray). Probably one of the best hotel breakfasts we ever had (guacamole ❤️) with charming staff to go with it. Ståle mixed the best caipirinha
