Best view ever.
The location has a superlative view, it’s impossible to deny that. You feel like wanting to stay forever in the rooftop. But nothing is perfect, and arriving and leaving the pousada is by far not as convenient as being in other places with metro or Ubers within easy reach, so bear this in mind when booking. We already had this idea so we split our stay in Rio between 3 nights in Zona Sul and 2 nights in Rio144 and absolutely recommend it. The staff (Thalita) was always nice and available, the breakfast is lovely (not buffet fyi, so smaller portions are served) and the room is beautiful and comfortable.

- • Some aspects could be improved, like the sound-proofing of the rooms, which is poor. The area is quiet and peaceful at night (unlike Zona Sul) but the opening window from the bathroom to the common corridor of the hotel (which is an outside space) does not close well and there are no double glazed glasses - this means you can hear everything clearly, from other guests dragging bags to the cleaning staff chattering or sweeping the floor at 7 am.
Incredible time in Rio
I enjoyed staying here a lot. The views were breathtaking, the staff were super super friendly and helpful and the vibes were so calm and immaculate.

EVERYTHING!!!!! Breakfast, room, views and service are excellent. This hotel definitely raised our standards for all the next ones haha!

A beautiful boutique stay with exceptional staff, stunning views, and a very personal feel.
Thalita and Lucas were exceptional. The property has a lovely boutique feel, with beautiful views and a warm, personal atmosphere. It feels more personal and characterful than a mainstream hotel, with charming touches like Flash, the adorable little dog, who adds so much personality to the stay. The kindness and attentiveness of the staff really stood out and made the experience feel special. I also loved that the bathroom was stocked with Granado products for showering, such a thoughtful touch, and I liked them so much that I’ll be looking for more in the London stores.

- • Transport can be a little difficult at times, especially when trying to get an Uber quickly. This does not take away from the property itself, but future guests may want to plan ahead. If you do want to order an Uber, I’d suggest trying Uber Black first, followed by Uber Priority. Taxis are still an option too, and the staff are very helpful in assisting with arrangements.
Eine perfekte Woche in Rio!
Die Pousada liegt in den Bergen von Santa Teresa mit dem besten Blick auf den Zuckerhut und den Christos. Morgens kann man sich auf der herrlichen Dachterrasse mit Pool den Sonnenaufgang über Rio anschauen und dabei einen selbstgebrühten Espresso trinken. Das Personal und die Besitzer sind sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Die Pousada und ihre Zimmer sind mit guten Ideen liebevoll ausgestattet, es hat uns an nichts gefehlt!

Beautiful pousada with stylish and comfortable rooms, unbelievable views ...and incredibly helpful and friendly staff. Fab breakfast provided in the roof terrace. They kindly arranged two massages, which were VERY good. I also fell in love with Flash, the cute little dog and man of the house. It felt like being a guest in someone's very nice home. I also appreciated there was no TV, which enabled me to read, relax, and just enjoy the view at sunrise and sunset. Highly recommended!

- • It's an uber ride to everywhere... some drivers weren't happy with the steep hills. It has great amenities all drinks and snacks you need, based on honour system and you serve yourself...I wouldn't have minded if I was able to order a caipirinha by the pool, lazily...I didn't bother to make my own ( although very clear instructions are provided!). Extras are cash/paypal only.

Breakfast was great, the choices and the sytem of ordering were good. Lovely staff preparing it! The couple who run the hotel Lucas and Thalita are AMAZING. The owner is so lucky to have them. Always available and always friendly. I loved the design especially downstairs and the attention to detail is amazing. The sunhats and baskets with Rio144 etc etc. The facility for early check in after a Europe flight in that lovely room and that MESMERising view.

- • My mother had an accident just before we came so she was in a wheel chair for which the hotel is prepared & the staff were hugely helpful but outside the hotel are 5 steep stairs down to the cars it would be great to have a ramp there. Also i think each room could have an adaptor as i know us and other guests only had European plugs!!
