Location, not far from the main road, but quiet. Responsive and qualified staff, Clean pool, with a very beautiful view. The hotel is quite clean.

- • In the apartments with a kitchen, there are no kitchen utensils (only cups). Breakfasts are not oriented towards Europeans, but overall the breakfasts are varied.
Christmas stay at the Fern
Location was good near the sea, cleanliness was top-notch. Behavior at reception was very cordial and helpful staff. Sudarshan, Shobit, and Zareen were exceptionally helpful.

Comfortable stay with very helpful staff. Certain aspects need improvement.
Breakfast choices were good, and the location was also nice, but the experience depends so much on the points I have mentioned in the comments below. Car Parking was very good and staff very helpful.

- • More efforts must be put in place to check the table cleanliness after it has been vacated by the previous guests and offered to the next customer. Dirty mats, cutlery, and seats are not expected. Efforts were made to correct the situation by the staff, but the point is that these 'checks' should be in place before being noticed. The bathwater drainage was clogged after the initial 30 seconds, hence water flow had to be used in a very limited way. The same was the case with the kitchen sink drainage. We did not want to have the issue resolved while we were there as we had a similar issue at 'The Fern' in Satara (08th December), where the staff rectifying the issue was not at all following hygiene standards leading to us not wanting to use the bath at all. The above issues can be avoided if the Hotel ensures that these 'points' are checked after the previous guest has vacated the room / dining table, etc. Bath drainage 'does' get clogged, and happens in every bath, but if not looked into at regular intervals, leads to water clogging... which is not a good experience. Similarly, is the case for the dining table set-up, where it should be made 'presentable' for the next customer. These are small points but unfortunately leave an impression.
Needs improvement especially cleanliness
Lovely rooms large and modern, balcony very small. My biggest issue was the cleanliness of the whole hotel, the pool area, and bar/restaurant especially and the lifts. Just grubby!!! Never saw cleaning staff other than the room staff, floors never mopped, glass around the pool full of bird muck the whole time we were there 21 days, pool full of sand, allow people in the pool fully clothed, no staff reinforcing rule only swimwear allowed was a joke. In other hotels pool staff insist on this plus a shower before entering the pool. No pool staff permanently there, floors around the pool area never cleaned. Brisa du mar stained furniture, floor filthy, tables not wiped down after each guest, management definitely to blame, no training or lack of supervision in ensuring basics are done, lifts filthy. Just an overall lack of cleaning for the whole hotel. However... Dipti, in the dining room was an absolute credit to the hotel, she worked hard every day, running around sorting everything out, while the rest of the team looked gormless!! She was always helpful and an absolute star. She was immaculate.

Very comfortable and pleasing
Amazing hotel with lovely staff, always pleasant and very helpful. Front desk staff were extremely helpful to sort a quiet and a great room for us.
