Accommodation with locals. Very quiet environment on Elephantine Island. Hosts very attentive to our needs and discreet at the same time. Large, clean, and comfortable apartment. Functional kitchen. Very clean bathroom.

I liked the calm of Elephantine Island, the large roof terrace, the quality of the bedding, the large bathroom, and the owners are very helpful and accommodating.

- • Perhaps a piece of furniture in the bathroom and one in the kitchen would be needed. Otherwise, it's perfect.

I had a very pleasant stay at Roma Guest House in Aswan. The room had two single beds that were wide, comfortable, and very clean. The bathroom is small but functional and was clean, with shampoo and toilet paper provided. The air conditioning worked very well, and there was also a ceiling fan. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable. Breakfast is simple (omelet, cheese, and coffee or tea), but it’s a good start to the day. One of the best features is the large terrace with a beautiful view of the Nile River. The location on the island is nice and quiet, and the boat fare is only 15 EGP, which is very affordable. The owner is extremely kind and honest. He helped arrange a shared tour to Abu Simbel Temple at a good price, as well as another trip to Luxor including visits to Kom Ombo Temple and Edfu Temple. He also gave very helpful advice about what to do in Aswan. Overall, the price is very cheap compared to the quality of the room and service. I highly recommend this place.

Most important that the house is clean and in a good location. I see that some people are complaining about noise, it is not true, it is on a calm island. The problem is that Aswan at the moment offers very poor quality in the city center that I already tried, so Roma House and Elephantine Island were like a saving from the hell of noise, dirt, and trash that are on the East side of the Nile.

The hotel is very well located, about 3 minutes walk from the public ferry. If you have suitcases, it will be a bit more difficult because of the unpaved road. The apartment we stayed in was okay, clean. The ad says there is a washing machine, however, the washing machine is in the owner's apartment. If you need to wash your clothes, you will have to give them to the owner's wife and she will take care of it. The kitchen is equipped with the minimum of things you need.
