I recommend staying at the place
Room with private bathroom and terrace in a family home, the family was very nice and helpful, as well as the room and its facilities were clean, the breakfast was delicious, and the accommodation is close to the center and tourist areas and Ubud Palace... This is not my last stay, I will be back soon

Absolutely amazing hosts, with a tranquil home- I was well taken care of.
Amazing location, that leads to everything else. Close enough to get to the center but quiet enough for good rest.

- • It's not necessarily something to improve, but would have liked to be informed beforehand. I was looking forward to eating, having meals (lunch/dinner) at the establishment but since I came at a 'special time' / festival, hosts were busy preparing for that and so, had to go out for lunch and dinner throughout my stay.
This homestay is a true hidden gem in the heart of Ubud. Although it's located right in the center, it's tucked away from the busy streets, making it incredibly peaceful and relaxing. The location is perfect—you can easily walk to restaurants, shops, and attractions while still enjoying the tranquility of a quiet retreat. What made our stay truly special was the warmth and kindness of the owners and staff. They are genuinely friendly, caring, and always happy to help with anything you need, making you feel more like a guest in their home than a visitor. And the breakfast was simply outstanding—fresh, beautifully prepared, and absolutely delicious every single morning. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay and would gladly return on our next visit to Ubud.

The breakfast was good. It was quiet at night. Everything was clean. I was out during the day anyway.

- • The listing mentions Jl.Sriwedari. I don't find it good if you have heavy luggage. My taxi searched for the accommodation via Jl. Sandat. That is a very narrow street. The accommodation is poorly accessible by car (arrival and departure day). Disaster in oncoming traffic. Then it goes into a narrow alley but that's not bad. Confusing is that the accommodation is advertised as Sastra Ubud House and is called Sastra House on-site.

The room was spacious and pretty. The terrace furniture was nice to sit at in the mornings. Having a desk was important to me, so that was definitely a plus, as well as a good internet connection. Water refills are hugely appreciated.

- • The smell coming from the bathroom sewage was not nice at all, and I was told there was nothing that could be done about it. Keeping the door shut made it better. It was very hot and humid when I stayed, so the fan wasn't enough for me to have a good sleep or work in the room. Having a kitchen was hugely important to me, but it wasn't clean, so I didn't feel like prepping quick food there.
