Mustapha and the whole team are very good guides. They are very hospitable and attentive. They always make sure everything is fine. The food they make is very good (buffet style). They have Wi-Fi and some outlets for charging. It's a good place to build a bit of community. The quality-price ratio is very good.

- • When booking, keep in mind that in addition to the room price, you have to budget between 25 and 35 euros per person to get to the campsite, in our case it was about 70 additional euros. The show they offer at the bonfire is not genuine and is in an area with many campsites, this can affect light pollution. If you want an astrological show, go when there is no moon! The desert could be cleaner... There is tourist litter not collected.

The spirit is the experience of being in the desert. But in the middle of winter, the conditions are difficult to bear. It was worth it for the availability and willingness to please of the staff. It will be worth visiting at another time of the year!

All great
It was one of the most beautiful experiences on my trip to Morocco. The food was great, the hospitality outstanding, and a great price. In the evening, there was a bonfire with music, sandboards were also available. I would love to come back sometime. Thanks for the great experience 🙏

An authentic experience in the desert, with some compromises
The Mustapha Camp Merzouga is truly characteristic and stands out from most camps in the area. Unlike others that use anonymous plastic tents, here the tents are authentic Berber tents, which convey a genuine and fascinating atmosphere. The dinner is good and tasty, although it does not reach exceptional levels. The true heart of the experience is the evening with authentic Berber music around the fire: a magical and unforgettable moment that captures the essence of desert culture. The tent itself is fantastic: we were two and they gave us a huge 6-person tent, perfectly furnished with all necessary amenities, including a well-organized private bathroom. For the price asked (around 35 euros for two people), the quality-price ratio is excellent.

- • The camp is inevitably located at the edge of the dunes, which is understandable given the nature of the destination. Compared to other past desert experiences, it lacks a bit of immersiveness: you don't have that feeling of total isolation and being completely immersed in the vastness of the desert. However, this is a common issue with practically all camps in that area. The main issue is that all neighboring camps are in close proximity, creating an almost concentrated area, so the impression of solitude in the desert is inevitably compromised. It is not a criticism of the camp itself, which is very nice, but rather of how all the tourist offerings in that area are set up. A more specific negative point: the transport to the tent with the jeep was quoted at 50 euros, which is a bit high, and the cost was not clear enough at the time of booking, creating some confusion in the initial communication.

Perfect Sahara experience
Beautiful campsite, very nice and helpful staff. We planned a camel ride there and a 4x4 on the way back. But we arrived late (after sunset) and there was no problem for Mustafa to change the mode of transportation. Excellent dinner and breakfast. Very quiet and pleasant place. In the evening, there was singing by the fire and a night climb to the dunes. The tents were clean and comfortable. The next day, the kids tried sandboarding.
