- • Reception was closed from 12pm, so didn't meet any one the day of my check in, or any other days actually. Extremely cold, should give extra blanket (very warm like woolen blanket) Shower are terrible, couldn't get hot water. Clean enough but not the standards you could expect. Kitchen closed from 10pm to 9.30 am in the morning ! You can't get a tea or coffee before heading to town. Who gets their breakfast that late ?
Its a great hostel in a lovely old building
It's conveniently located, has a great kitchen, and is clean and quiet. Extra layers were provided for my bed on the cold Dunedin nights.

- • Concerned about carpet on stairs quite tatty and worn. Could pose hazzard could get a heel court on its and trip. Needs repairs and those plastic with metal heal strip fitted. 2nd floor shower heads very poor condition. Parking very hard to get. Third flor stairwell door very hard to maneuver special with bags a 2 way or sliding door would be safer. 9
