What a wonderful place for a holiday. We were at the top of the resort which gave us a fabulous view. Restaurants at the resort were very good, staff were exceptional

- • Just be aware that there are a lot of stairs but Ambong provides a shuttle to get up and down.

Ambong Rainforest Retreat was such a beautiful haven. We loved all the wildlife and nature around us. You can watch monkeys from the trees whilst you eat breakfast. The vegan restaurant was also delicious. You must try the Japanese restaurant at the bottom of the hill. Incredible Japanese food!

The retreat is great in the rainforest, animal sightings possible, but you can still walk to the place, so you can also visit the restaurants there. Very friendly and personal care, great pool for all-inclusive use.

- • The towels at the pool and in the rooms need to be renewed. You have to consider that there are many steps to climb each time, as the cottages are on the hillside (shuttle possible at any time). The breakfast menu should change every 2-3 days in brackets for a house of this category I expect more variety for breakfast and do not want to have the same breakfast for three days).
Beautiful stay with super staff
The friendliness of the staff, they were very helpful. The accommodations are higher up and it is always a steep climb but we were always transported by car, a message via WhatsApp was enough. Great breakfast. There are 2 restaurants, vegan and normal. In short, had a great stay at Ambon!! The Rimba restaurant is also recommended, delicious food and with a beautiful view, also for the sunset.

- • The location itself is beautiful but somewhat remote. So still a walk to the busier part with the restaurants and bars.

A little oasis in the middle of Langkawi!
A little oasis in the middle of Langkawi! Close to the center, but located on a very quiet hill, which gives us the total feeling of being immersed in the forest. The company of native animals in the forest around us (monkeys, small lizards, birds) makes the experience even more immersive. The accommodations are excellent, stylish without being luxurious, very comfortable and clean. The friendliness and availability of the staff made our stay even more enjoyable.
