Lovely getaway
The restaurant at the hotel was fabulous! The beaches were just a short 5-10 minute walk from the room. There were plenty of restaurants nearby as well. Compared to Parikia and Noussa, Ambelas was muchhh quieter and more peaceful.

- • Since it's a bit removed from the chaos of other areas, it was a little difficult to get around without a rental car. The drive to Noussa was about 10 minutes by car or 50 minutes walking, and taking the taxi to Noussa cost 20€ each way. Taking a taxi to Lefkes, Parikia, or Pounta (by the airport) was about 40€ one way. There are also weren't many shops nearby, so if that's a major draw, just plan to do your shopping in Noussa or Parikia.
Very nice facility in a quiet location
Very nice facility, just a few minutes walk to the beach. Since mid-October is the end of the season, there wasn't much going on in the town, very quiet indeed.

The breakfast was great, and it was very pleasant to have breakfast in the garden in the shade next to the pool. The pool was also nice, and the sunbeds were comfortable.

- • The bathroom was small, and the sink was in the room, which was inconvenient. The room was small, and there was a lack of space to put things.
Lovely family-run retreat near beaches and restaurants
Margarita Studios location is ideal for a more relaxed retreat, walking distance to beaches and restaurants, but away from the bustle of cities. Staff are warm & wonderful and room very clean.

Recommended hotel
Quiet location (private vehicle necessary!), balcony with partial sea view, super friendly and helpful owner, reasonable flat rate for laundry, rich breakfast menu (about 15€/person). Pleasant mix of guests.

- • - hardly any shade at the pool (the umbrellas are positioned in a way that you almost never have shade) - Bathroom: small, outdated, impractical, sometimes no hot water in the morning. I would expect improvements with an overnight rate of over 100€!

Hospitality and courtesy, the pool area and the restaurant, genuine and exceptional food, the possibility to have lunch at any time, comfortable beds, the tranquility and peace of the place.
